Thanks, yes I did so on the basis that it would not be during the World Cup or Commonwealth Games. But would be before 1 August.

No post on this thread for 10 hours. SOS. Where is everyone.
Why isn't anyone asking about Sky sports HD date. Only joking

What I`d like to know is when are virgin going to improve the on demand service? Alibi and Watch are the 2 channels I`d love to see added plus more content on Fox (if you haven`t looked do so as it`s pathetic!),and HD content added to ITV catch up

Yes this is an area that i think Virgin is really starting to lack in and unlike channels that are locked to Sky this is something they could do something about.

If i were in charge i would be looking at striking deals with US content providers to get some of the shows that do not have a UK home on demand.

Yes, I completely agree, Bananaman. Considering Virgin Media are making such a big play about 'being in control', I am surprised that they are not investing a lot in on demand.

Netflix is good, but we want much more. I want VM to put Sky to shame. As things stand, Sky are catching up fast.

I only come on for some casual channel chat and where has everyone dashed off to? I wonder if Virgin Media have magicked us all away so they could launch channels when they wish (which could be never after 2015)?! Where on earth is everyone?!

By 20th July means by race day for the German Grand Prix weekend. It's also a Sunday, and unless I'm mistaken that pretty fairly rules it out as a launch day, although I'm sure there have been Sunday launches. A Thursday launch is more likely, and would allow for the entire race weekend, not just the race day, to be broadcast live. I think now 17th is probable, it's after the World Cup and before the 20th, on a day of the week which is more likely to see channel launches.

They may launch on July 17th - that before July 20th.

I do know when they will launch but it under an DNP order.

I did also have confirmed channels numbers for the Sky Sports Channels from July but that info was bin when Sky confirmed the launch of Sky Sports 5 on June 12th.

Sky have not only caught up with virgin as far as on demand/catch up is concerned they have left them behind!

At launch VM were offered the same deal as Sky in relation to UKTV On Demand material, but chose not to take it up. The alleged reason was that it was not worth paying for, as a lot of the programmes were already available on the BBC, who made the programmes in the first place.
