That's why I added the digital exclusive post. It's not something I'm bothered about but wanted to encourage the moaning again as I am missing it a bit :D

With BBC THREE, FOUR and NEWS24 coming in HD I am left with just Sky Atlantic HD, Sky Sports News HD and SS3 HD,SS4 HD,F1 HD missing in order to give me everything I really want.

Premier Sports for NHL but hoping BT will snap up the rights and show in HD.

More 4, History and Sky News all in HD would be a bonus but not that bothered.

By the way why the fuss over Universal HD? What's worth watching?

I'm not fussed about Sky News either but news is news always a bonus to have in HD for big news events, i.e. an election with flashy graphics, sports highlights etc..

I was seriously asking what's worth watching on Universal? It's not a critique just wondered if there was exclusive programming you can't get elsewhere in HD.

I have not watched the channel before, but most of the channels I have are simply repeating programs on the others

It has first run Psych, Royal Pains, Rookie Blue and anything else on USA Network that no other channel wants.

i kept refreshing the forum in work yesterday and i felt genuinely sad this thread wasnt being constantly battered with wild rumours, rowdy discussion and painful angst. I love having BT Sport but i now miss the chase...

More 4 HD is in the pipeline and it wouldn't surprise me if Sky News HD appeared before BBC News HD starts.

More4HD was a Sky exclusive, im guessing that exclusivity ends when they get Film4HD.

Sky News HD will probably appear before BBC News HD as I would guess that BBC News HD will be the last of the new BBC HD channels to launch.

You know, I have been having similar dreams for ages. I have been hoping for VM to absorb both Smallworld Cable and WightFibre to form one large company and have a largely unlimited list of channels for us all to enjoy!

Discovery set to launch two-hour timeshift channel of TLC on Monday, 16th September.

It is not yet known if Virgin will launch the channel.

Also, I imagine that Sky will suddenly want Sky News HD on VM just before BBC News HD starts, to steal a march on them.

I was told about the 5 Later discussions at a "do" I was at by a member of the VM management team.

Don't know anything else about it, not even what the channel is about.

I imagine it will be similar to the Channel 4 service "4Seven", or perhaps a more adult themed service.

The name of the channel suggests to me that it might be a part time evening/night service. This begs the question as to whether Channel 5 are going to eventually launch their daytime childrens channel "Milkshake".

I doubt that it will, +2 channels have only ever been on Sky as placeholder channels to reserve their place on the EPG. Such measures aren't neccessary on VM and +2 variants have never been added to the VM EPG in the past.
