Oh well just down to see what VM do now, which is looking more likely that they will not have BT Sports for the next year/season anyway.

I got the BT call this evening - the rep said that VirginMedia are not getting BT Sport and I need to get it via them by changing over my broadband to BT Infinity - either a sales pitch or the truth...

The recent moves by BT and SKY could be good for Virgin Media customers. I fully expect Virgin to join the fight with their unique offer. Still not a price war as such but a good time to be out of contract.

Virgin do like to leave it late. ESPN launched on the 03rd August 2009. Virgins deal wasn't agreed until the 29th July. Less than a week from launch.

Re: ESPN, BT, Euro, Premier and Sky Sports news

Espn was totally different, they hadn't just spent billions upgrading an ageing communications network that will need new customers to pay for it, can you see anyone sat there at BT saying I think it will be a good move to wholesale our hard fought gotten gains to our main communications rival? It won't happen and VM will just make noises along the lines of we couldn't get a good enough deal for our customers rather than telling the truth. The truth being that BT want virgin customers for themselves.

Re: ESPN, BT, Euro, Premier and Sky Sports news

After the newspaper ads by BT this week I get a sinking feeling that VM will not be getting BT Sports...
