Did anyone get this as an over-the-air update?

Re: The iPhone thread
To be honest I didn't notice - I saw it was about on google and then manually checked too see if I could download it.

Re: The iPhone thread
I updated via iTunes, but I did have the badge on Settings. I just felt safer updating the phone while it was plugged in, plus I like to have a copy of the full firmware file available (OTA updates just download a "delta" update).

Re: The iPhone thread
I didn't ... Had to go into settings manually. Wonder why?

Re: The iPhone thread
2 Attachment(s)
I STILL can't get MMS to work. mainly as apple have chosen to remove the option to change the apn / mms settings and the phone thinks it's on t-mobile for the mobile internet but still shows Virgin as the network.
Grr. |
Re: The iPhone thread
Turn Wi-Fi on, and open Safari.
Browse to "help.benm.at" < put this in the address bar exactly as it appears. Scroll to the bottom and press Tethering under the Features section Select United Kingdom under Country Select "Virgin" Select "Download" Select "Install" Restart your phone and there you have your mobile internet on Virgin! |
Re: The iPhone thread
Hi guys,
I started a new thread the other day about iPhone 3GS / iPhone 4 as I am currently considering buying one. Since I began that thread, I've seen an offer with T-Mobile to get a free iPhone 3GS for £15 a month for 24 months which seems like a great deal. I currently have a BlackBerry 8520 so a 3GS would be a massive step up from my BB but I just wanted to ask anyone with a little more knowledge of iPhones whether this really is a good deal as obviously I am aware that the 3GS is 2 years old now and wondering whether Apple will stop supporting it and it would become obsolete during the next two years? The iPhone 4 / 4S would be the obvious choice but then I would either have to double the monthly tariff or stump up £100+ up front. I should mention the £15 tariff has sufficient minutes / texts / data for my use and therefore would just be grateful for a few of you iPhone users giving me your thoughts. Cheers Superblade |
