just been out in the car, main roads fine, side roads treacherous though. bright sunshine then freezing fog then back into sun. temp monitor on the car went down to -5 and that was 14:30!

Daughters, perhaps - grand-daughters, no.......

(anyway, my first wife was from Teeside, not Newcastle - so v. unlikely....;))

(Mind you, there was those girls in RAF training who were Geordies, and....... Nah!!!!).

I don't know if it's something in the tap water in Newcastle but last year I saw a couple of lassies in the city centre wearing santa hats and bikinis.
And a scarf each as a concession to the temperature.........it was -10c.
