I've tried Waeather Gripe and found it infuriatingly pointless.

I think VM should concentrate on video apps such as Disney + and Apple + and any new sports apps that are launched. The games selection is pretty lame if you ask me. I'm not sure whether the V6 software is up to the good ones.

TiVo has also confirmed that Real Lives will close at 6am on October 1st on Virgin Channel 160 and Sky Crime will launch at midday.

Real Lives +1 will become Sky Crime +1 and will launch at 1pm on Virgin Channel 207.

Will Sky Crime ever go HD, either on Sky or VM?

DS Forum is reporting that an unknown channel is testing on Sky*.

If Sky do launch an Sky Crime HD Channel and if Virgin have the rights to broadcasting it tests will appear on Virgin Media by Friday.

*At time of posting we have no idea on what that unknown channel on Sky is but it was testing with Sky Sports News last Thursday.

Are these evidence of a new deal, or just that Virgin are going to pay the HD rate for all subscribers who have those channels?

At this rate a bigger hard drive is going to be needed with many of the SD channels going the hard drive is filling up that much quicker with HD recordings.

I think they have sorted that out now, Den. My HD recordings don't take up as much room as they used to - I even record from the UHD channel now.

Does this mean the remaining +1's may come in to replace them? Is TLC SD closing as well.

Why would they add +1 channels in SD when they have deleted the main SD channel channels? I think VM is aiming at just providing HD versions of all channels that provide them in the future.

I'm not sure why you would want +1 channels anyway - haven't all VM subscribers got recorders these days?

I think they mean will the +1s be moved up in the EPG to be on the number next to the HD channel.

E.g. TLC SD is 167, TLC HD is 168 and TLC +1 is currently 169. They are probably wondering if TLC +1 will move up 1 number.

No, the V-HD box is still in use.

Besides, having a recorder doesn't help if you've already missed the start of a programme.
