Broadcast: Lifetime finalises UK launch plans.

Quote:

Female skewing pay-TV network Lifetime is expected to make its UK debut in the fourth quarter of the year, as parent company A+E Networks UK enters the final stages of its launch plan.

A+E Networks UK is currently in carriage negotiations with both satellite platform Sky and cable operator Virgin Media.

It is understood that the broadcaster, which is a joint venture between the US cable group and Sky, is considering using Bio’s EPG slot to give it a strong position on the platforms.

Bio currently sits on 156 on Sky and 242 on Virgin Media.

Seriously though, it's pretty decent on my HTC ONE, and not much different from my Ipod touch. The only problem is Android don't have ad free versions of Words With Friends and Hanging With Friends:(. I think the worst the OS I have used is Nokia's OVI system. I have thankfully just got rid of my N8, it was just awful for me over the last year or so!

Those offers that "hd free, multiroom free, sky charge" is all relative when the cost of tv on sky is cheaper in first place.

Haha, no I'm an EE customer but I still think they should support Windows Phone since they sell it! They've not even made 'Your Account' apps either so I'm not holding my breath haha. Personally I think Windows Phone 8 is actually better and more user friendly than iOS and Android but app developers will go where they have the most outreach. I find it funny how the Anywhere app is on iOS first considering VM don't even sell the iPhone or iPad. At least I can use the 3rd party TiVo remote apps in the Windows Store so it's not all bad :p:

Don't really need an 'app' http://m.virginmedia.com/account is exactly the same information as the Android / iOS apps, and works on any phone

This is why I don't get the whole app thing at all. Rather than have to develop and maintain different apps for each platform, just have a decent mobile HTML site that will then work on all devices.

NEW CHANNELS ON TV ANYWHERE

Quote:

ITV Channels , Comedy Central , History , H2 , CI and Bio have been added to TV Anywhere.
Apparently since this was posted on DS, Comedy Central has since been removed.

Ofcom confirmed that 'Drama' will be on Sky and maybe Virgin TV.

http://licensing.ofcom.org.uk/tv-bro...updates/052013

I still think that UKTV will axe Blighty for Drama to launch.

Virgin Media moves B4U Music to M+ package.

An Virgin insider has confirmed to me that B4U Music is now broadcasting on the M+, L and XL Packages on Virgin Channel 816.
