The iPlayer app is only for the iPad.

You can still use iPlayer on the iPhone, but you have to use the web browser: http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer

You can also stream Freeview TV channels over WiFi via the browser (http://iphone.tvcatchup.com/) or an app (FilmOn TV).

thank you

I use My3G for those that won't work unless you connect through WiFi. it tricks them into thinking you're using WiFi so you can use them through 3G instead.

http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/tech/new...criticism.html

Apple's new iPhone 4S handset has been dogged with criticism since its launch last month, with some owners complaining about the handset rapidly draining its battery life.

Some iPhone 4S users have reported that their phone battery loses up to 15% of its capacity every hour, even when not in heavy use.

Other issues have been reported with older iPhone models after the user had installed the latest iOS 5 operating system, which also caused various other problems when it rolled out last month.

Apple are aware of this and working on a fix which may be present in IOS 5.0.1.

I say may because while they have released a beta for 5.0.1, and I am a registered developer (so can download betas legally), I haven't had a chance to look at 5.0.1.

If they are onboard maps - no - since the app will only use the local data file.

If it's streaming maps (Google Maps, Bing etc) then yes is will come out of your data tarrif.

If you are on wireless (wi-fi wireless that is) - depends if it's your own or a wi-fi hotspot.

Unless you look at something beforehand on WiFi and leave it, yes it will use data because your loading new data.
