sorry but if I was on a fixed term contract and got offered to meet someone regarding a lucrative pay deal for myself when my contract ends I would turn up for the meeting as well. I believe sven did nothing wrong, as for his comments about the players he is human and having a discussion, if you think every previous england manager has never thought players to be lazy or just at clubs for the money then I think you are in dreamland, NOTW could probably do several stings like this on various manager's to shame them if they wanted but they had an agenda.

His contract actually end's in 2008, this is not any old job either, this job comes with responsibility, the hopes of millions lie with him and he has not got integrity to respect either, you don't think he has done anything wrong, remember what happened to Don Revie when he left for Kuwait, instead of being up there with the greats he was hated, never to manage another club in this country again.

The thing is he was looking to line up a lucrative pay deal/new job before his current contract ended, not after it is due to end in 2008. ISnt that a bit unethical?

Good article here..

Have You Been Incited By Citizen Neville?

Let me incite you for a moment. Feel free to run amok in the streets and then blame me for inciting you to do it.

A 90th-minute winner in a long, tedious game against your most bitter rival is always a great thing. If now is not the moment for a bit of chest-thumping pride, a bit of 'f*ck you' p***-taking by a player, then when would be the right time?

So there's Citizen Neville, taking the pish out of Liverpool fans. It's all fair enough isn't it? After all, that's what you've been doing to him all game. But surely he's supposed to rise above that I hear. Isn't the deal that fans berate and abuse players who in turn smile sweetly and take the money home?

I can't dispute that he is a quality player who has won just about everything, been to a couple of world Cups and had a pretty super career but at the end of the day he comes across as what he is, annoying!

Why is he annoying? For speaking his mind? For loving the club he plays for?

He's a legend. End of. Plus he sports the worlds greatest moustache. ;)

Gary Neville has just finished filming a new ITV drama about a hardened, bitter cop on the streets of Manchester, called "Tash", which he wrote and directed himself.

In the first episode, he single handedly rescues a bus full of liverpudlian children from the clutches of an evil london drug baron played by Rio Ferdinand.
More amazing Gary Neville facts :)

In 1972, a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. They promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of football. If you have a problem, if no-one else can help, and if you can find them at Carrington, maybe you can hire the Nevilles.

Especially Gary. He loves it when an off-side trap comes together.
:D

Probably both Russ....

I suppose it was an inevitable outcome as the FA are full of stuffed shirts.
It will also give the FA time to appoint another foreign England coach, as they don't have anyone in mind at the moment.
Jose Mourinho anyone ? Arsene Wenger ? :D
I get this nagging feeling that the NOTW think they have done the England fans a favour, but you never know, maybe they have.

I'd like to see Martin O'Neill give it a go, not convinced by any English manager
