2017 unfortunately, so just missed the cutoff. But as I said, it took a little longer for a couple of other apps to get added, so fingers crossed they work back a little further. My webOS is 6.10 or something around there, if not we’ll just have to keep watching through Firestick on the smaller TV.

Just get another Firestick as they're cheap and do everything.

Unfortunately it doesn't work on my 2022 LG G2, I just get the spinning wheel forever on any video I try to play.
I guess my Roku stick isn't facing retirement any time soon lol

That’s the plan at some point. Just kicking myself for not taking up the Black Friday offer 🤦*♀️

If you plan to use a Firestick with BBC iPlayer then the Firestick Max is the only Firestick that currently supports UHD 4K for the BBC iPlayer app.

I see they've finally added ITVX in Scotland.

Over Christmas a Government spokesman confirmed that it was of the view that password sharing outside ones primary home was illegal under copyright law.

I wonder if anyone's told Nafine Dorries :D

They backtracked on that in well under 24 hours.

They did ?

I saw it at the time and just ignored it, as most people would pay no attention anyway, but I never saw any article saying they changed their minds.

They put the guidance on their website and removed it the same morning, but their press office continued responding to media enquiries as if it was current. The result is that the legal position is now clear as mud.

It appears that they still think it’s against the criminal law, so the CPS could prosecute if handed a case by the police, but only if the police actually conducted an investigation. And the BBC at least has had no success getting any police force to go on record and say it would be prepared to spend time investigating an allegation of password sharing.

Where this seems to leave us is that it *might* be illegal, but the IPO won’t push it, the police won’t investigate it and the CPS is therefore not expecting to prosecute it.

Since Government guidance doesn’t constitute law it’d be interesting to know what law they believe(d) prohibits it as presumably an over-zealous streaming service or a third party acting on their behalf could test it in court.

360 boxes have begun updating with software version 4.45. There is now a button at the top of the guide page for radio and Netflix-style previews of movies in the banner at the top of that page.
