To be honest, I don't think the guys on here care that much for this channel

shows FEI showjumping and Argentine Polo; possibly enough for someone to whet their whistle; if you havent got sky it is available at 4.99pm apparently to stream

Been trying to get VM to add it for years, but its minority interest so is unlikely to materialise. Its FTA on satellite, & EPG'd on Sky, so a Sky "freesat", or a proper Freesat box manually tuned required.

Sky Movies up by 50p pm to £17.00 pm
Sky Sports up by £1.00 pm to £25.50 pm
Family pack up by £3.00 pm to £36.00 pm
Variety pack up by £2.00 pm to £30.00 pm

So Sky Movies will go from £19.50 to £20.00 pm on VM
Sky Sports will go from £27.25 to £29.25 pm on VM

If the full package together goes up by £2.50 then that will make it £36.75 pm on VM.

Ouch.

Here's hoping it was a good announcement yesterday but it turned out to be a price rise :( sums up things at the moment !

did spike launch last night?? im guessing no chance of it coming to VM then..

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2015)

Spike is available now on Freeview, Freesat, SKY & other digital platforms but it is not on Virgins platform.

You cancel after 12 months on the 11th month ring up to give your 31 days notice chances are they will extend your offer or better it.

Sky Sports is already £29.25 on VM as I was paying £36.25 for it in HD a couple of months ago before I cancelled it. This rise will take it to £31.25 (or £38.25 in HD) which is getting stupid now.

One more nail in the VM TV coffin for me as Sky TV is becoming more and more attractive for my preference especially with some of the deals available at present.

Sky Sports SD pricing on the current bundles is £27.25 http://store.virginmedia.com/digital...ky-sports.html

However there isn't much Virgin Media can do in regards to the pricing of Sky Sports - the regulated wholesale price for Sky Sports SD 1 & 2 from 1st June is £25.34 http://media.ofcom.org.uk/analysts/regulated-prices/

So for the extra £3.91, Virgin give you 3,4,5 and F1

And the same extra £3.91 costs 16p with Sky direct. Something somewhere is wrong there.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2015)

That bit isn't regulated so Sky can charge Virgin what they like for the additional channels. And it wouldn't be in their interest to make it the same price :)

You are on an older version of the package.

Thanks for the reply Ben.

This is another irritating thing about VM in that they have different versions of the same bundle despite the included services being exactly the same. And obviously being on an "older" version costs me £2 a month extra for Sky Sports!
