Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2015) Vol. 2
We have now passed mid December when Vevo was said to be launching.
Has anybody got any news? When does the VM platform freeze begin, as this may mean it cannot be added if the freeze has already started? |

Did vm stop the Spotify offers?

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2015) Vol. 2
Apart from having the app on TiVo - I don't think they have anything to do with Spotify now. I was told they don't even take subs for them anymore.

i still pay my spotify sub to virgin

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2015) Vol. 2
I found two months running VM had not paid it - when I queried it that said they no longer set a sub up - perhaps they don't take new ones.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2015) Vol. 2
The Mail On Sunday reported that Liberty arch rival Comcast have held talks with ITV over a possible takeover. Liberty Global own 10% of ITV, so that would make interesting boardroom discussions should a bid occur.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/money/mar...Universal.html Buy ITV shares now while you still can! A bunfight will likely happen in the new year between some of the big US media companies and BT vying to gain control of ITV. Perhaps even Liberty may join the fray too. |

....yep, plus it gives them a say in what happens to ITV, so they get inside info on all the financial details of a bid and what the offeror intends to do with ITV in the future.
I fully expect BT to buy ITV in the end. I would be very surprised if ITV were allowed to be gobbled up by a US major. |

I think ITV will remain independent for at least the next five years until the results of cable-cutting and Netflix are known and ITV's value can be properly judged. I still think that there is a chance that Liberty Global will split in two and sell its European assets to Vodafone. |
