Set of Martin acoustic guitar strings for tomorrow's fun.
Now the tedium of putting them on. |
Re: What have you just bought?
Nipped over to Tesco with half hour to go before they closed. The missus ate the ham that was put aside for Xmas lunch.
The place was full of chavs and asians demanding at what time the turkeys would be reduced.... answer "They are not being reduced". |
Re: What have you just bought?
A £400 oven to replace ours that died in November, only able to get know as my mum has hasn't been well enough to look at them.

Re: What have you just bought?
£619 for a new washer dryer after our Hotpoint lemon gave up the ghost after several repairs. "Beyond Economical" said Hotpoint and an independent.
5yr warranty and lower power/water use was the clincher for the Samsung choice. |
Re: What have you just bought?
Went into Cotton Traders and got a shirt and some socks with 60% off and then got some cutlery in Viners with 80% off.:D

Re: What have you just bought?
Our 19" CRT monitor developed a flicker, fixed by a good whack sometimes so time to get a new model. This runs at 1600x1200 and wanted at least that resolution.
24" Benq monitor Wanted a 16:10 to get the vertical estate so have been looking at one of these for some time. Amazon warehouse had a "Used - as new" for £192 so went for it but previous owner had removed base to wall mount and didn't keep the screws so had to fork out £4 for 30 (only needed 4). Called Amazon and a very nice lady refunded 25% (£48) as can't exchange so I have a "new" monitor (all packaging, stickers etc in place) for £148. Not too bad. |

http://ao.com/product/WD906U4SAGD-Sa...er%20in%20Inox It may seem expensive until you consider the 5yr warranty, and 10 yr warranty on the motor. The missus already has a mountain of washing (plus the soggy stuff that was in it when it failed) ;) |
