Smile buddy, it's very rare that I do that. Are you and I on the same connection? There's a torrent freak in the next road over from me but he doesn't seem to impact my connection. Just curious mate :)

So what's with the  mate? I assume that you were joking. Are you leaving your Shub in router mode for now? I'm not going to hook up the 615 right now. I think that it might be an idea to call that guy in the CEO's office tomorrow. At least we might get answers to some of the questions.

You could email the CEO's office.

Could do, I'll go through the VM forums first and see what they say.

check what frequency and channel number is the upstream channel
reset from the back the modem...it should change the upstream channel and mhz
if not change .... reset it again until will change the upstream MHZ channel

It seems as upstream utilisation
the problem is:
that in few hours or days due to utilisation may change the channel & the MHZ again but again rest till change to less congested channel
it will work but you need to post your problem at VM forums and let the beta managers to know

EDIT
if it helps you my thread is here
http://community.virginmedia.com/t5/...t/td-p/1246849
i end up with distribution unit which helps when i got package loss it not reboot the modem to change upsteam channel

I was going to try this but lack of time didn't allow me to. Anyway, I switched the Superhub off today for 17 minutes and switched it back on and am back on the original upstream channel I was on before the R36 firmware update!

@ Neo. Are you using a Superhub in router mode?

Yes, router mode. No space for an additional router, and plus the Superhub "works" so don't want to touch something if it ain't broke.

Last night was atrocious for me in terms of packet loss, my connection was basically unusable. I've contacted VM through their forums, though I think I may have fixed it by forcing a different upstream channel.

@ Neo-Tech, if it's that bad then you really should speak to someone who can address the problem. You're paying for a service that you're not getting.

Yep, it is. Just checked now and everything is pretty much stable.

I don't consider this to be too bad but it's improving now anyway, so. I had a much worse experience where my graph was just completely yellow, that really ticked me off.

Just had my network upgrade this morning, now on 6 downstreams. Mixed feelings at the moment... going to have a play about with the upstream when i get in later on... im thinking this upstream got congested when the card came back up.

yeah i had problem with upstream so i think until they will finish and the upstream upgrade will not be more perfect
I see more people having upstream issues now

Re: Think Broadband Ping Monitor Results (POST YOURS)

Well switching upstreams did nothing to help really, so i went into modem mode... which when entering modem mode i've gone back to the previous upstream... along with it, a new IP as the previous one from VMNG300 has been lost in the last day or so, as been in router mode for last 3 or 4 days.

Gone from CPC1 to CPC16 and to boot, i'm now getting latency as low as 10 and 11 pinging BBC.co.uk. Will post a new graph once it has had time to populate.

Re: Think Broadband Ping Monitor Results (POST YOURS)

Well the upgrade has fecked my connection up well and truly... nothing but jitter and latency spikes on a constant basis... gone back to how it was post-R36 and post VMNG300.. all the positive improvements wiped out in the space of an hour and a half. Brilliant. Fuming doesn't come close.
