Agreed, I reckon you'll all have calls soon. There was a lot of chatter in the background when the call came through so I'm guessing they have many people making the calls. :-)

£149 for a piece of equipment you don't even own and have to pay an additional monthly fee to use. Yikes.

I would take that over £199 for a box that once run out of warranty means you've got to shell out for someone to come fix it.

Interesting that there is no £40 install fee.

I'm unsure whether I believe this offer to be the 'norm'.
Maybe it's because you have VIP50 service that the install fee is waived

Only time will tell, I guess.

So how do you get to this Sofa Forum to get the new open communications form VM about the Tivo launch?

So far the pricing for anyone offered S1/VIP has been the same, as above.

Didn't Mersey70 get a call and offered it for 149 only and I'm sure he's not a VIP customer , the 40 install may apply if its opened to customers with less than the XL package.

It's only going to be for customers on XL and above. This may change at a later date.

Yikes indeed. I've no intention of purchasing a tivo box for vm only for them to rent it back to me for a monthly fee.

Utter madness.

Re: TiVo

I wouldnt object to the £149 as a payment for a new improved product ... i just dont see that i need it for my TV habits

I also object to VM only accepting payment in advance paid by card on the phone ...

add to fact my personal feelings are ... I wont pay for something that others on the same package as me are getting for free .. and i know some will call that jealously or petty ... but thats my feelings about it ... fairness for all , equality and all that guff :D ( i dont want a personalised remote just the same deal as others on my package)

thats my views of which no doubt most will disagree but shucks .. im allowed em anyway :p:

Then you won't be getting one ;)

that's the deal on the table, plenty will snap VM's arm off for it. :)
