Not now during the World Cup which ends 13 July. And probably not during the Commonwealth Games either (which are from 23 July-3 August). But expect some launches between and after these two events! With the Sky Sports HD channels except 5 estimated by me as launching on Thursday 17 July.

My goodness, we would be as well getting in a psychic to give us dates all the guessing that is going on here :-)

By the way how often do channels launch on sky? more often?

But Vince, is there any point in overcrowding the EPG with channels you would never watch? They still have to be paid for and you and I are coughing up. I certainly want choice, but I want choice based on quality, not banal programming.

I may have got a little too excited when I turned the TV over to Sky News and saw "Sky News HD" in the corner. Not too sure that the picture quality is actually in HD though and it's just the logo.

*At time of writing this, the top corner has gone back to Sky News. :(

I know... I also went "Oooooh!!" (As you do lol) thinking that we've now got Sky News in HD. Then after the break the logo changed back to Sky News. :(
So I hope we get it by then or even sooner!

Further to the above. An additional part time Red Button service RB0 will be available on channel 990 for the duration of the Commonwealth Games.

Things can happen during change freeze if necessary, such as the BBC red button channels that launched this morning. But possibly not 'lacklustre' channels ;)

Old boy I agree but I literally have nothing else to look forward to. I'm not even being sarcastic or making a joke... I loved last year then we had dates and that for new channels and I'd wake up Tuesday morning or Friday morning to surprises and see the forum electric.

Basically I need a life... But bloody hell I loved it haha
