We've had Leeds, Liverpool and City is consecutive seasons in the 3rd round of the cup now. Talk about dream draws for the FA....

Carlos Vela, Arsenal player on loan at Real Sociedad (Spain - La Liga) scored a decent goal last night...

I see Suarez is in trouble again, this time for swearing at fans. All Dalglish can do is defend him by saying its scandalous fans were calling him a cheat!?!?!? He then went on to say

"His integrity is impeccable. He can look in the mirror and go to bed at night and sleep soundly. If other people can do that then fine. All we ask is to be fair, is to be honest."

The guy has been charged with making racist comments, has been pictured swearing at fans and is forever diving and feigning injury in matches. Dalglish is starting to look a bit stupid in the way he's defending him. I'm suprised he didn't come out saying sticking your middle finger up at people is a sign of endearment in Uruguay.

How about fuming at Carroll's (lack of) finishing or Reina's fumble....

And the commentator on Sky said something along the lines of "he does go looking for contact"... I think they should just call it as they see it.... as in "there goes suarez cheating again!"

I do think fans would be less likely to shout cheat if he didn't cheat all the time.

As an Arsenal fan I am amused at the free ride Dalglish gets from the press. Arsenal and Wenger were subjected a relentless barrage of criticism at the start of the season. Liverpool and Dalglish seem to get nothing but praise and they are three points behind us! Dalgish spent stupid money on his squad as well.

I mean this was the BBC's preview: http://webcache.googleusercontent.co...&ct=clnk&gl=uk

Quote:

Eleven months after he returned to the club as manager following a 20-year absence, Anfield idol Kenny Dalglish is still thrilling Liverpool supporters with his canny guidance of their beloved club.

The stifling fear and numbing caution that briefly enveloped it under former boss Roy Hodgson has disappeared amid a tornado of positivity and energetic forward-thinking, both metaphorically and literally.
I mean really. Not sure in what degree you would classify blowing £35 million on Andy Carroll as 'canny'.

After 14 games last season Liverpool and Hodgson had 19 points. This season Dalglish has 23 after 14 games.

Thats progress isn't it?...... :D

Then the FA need to review the guidance they are giving referees about centre-halves going through the back of strikers. You can take any given occasion that Suarez (and he is not alone in this) appears to go to ground easily and there could be three or four others where he's barged in the back or had the back of his legs kicked and received nothing. You may not see this on the tv screen but when you're a few yards away from it happening at the match there's no escaping from what goes on.

And the racism issue is irrelevant until he is actually found guilty of something. Yes he should perhaps have tempered his actions last night but isn't it odd how this is rather reminiscent of the Wayne Rooney witchunt. Seems that fine, upstanding, agenda driven establisment known as the British sports media has a new whipping boy.
