The downside is a story that reads well in a book may not translate well to the screen. Slower plots can work well in a book, but will be boring on screen. I preferred the HBO version. It was essentially an aliens invade the earth story with the War of the Worlds name than a retelling of the story from the book, but it was well written, well acted and exciting. |
Re: Renewals & Cancellations
The Boys has been renewed for a 3rd season ahead of the season 2 premiere.

Re: Renewals & Cancellations
yup, I am hoping that conversations have been had behind the scenes to plan for a 5 or 6 season story arc so something meaningful happens each season and the story progresses. The last thing you want with a series like this is for them to finish the story and get to where they want to at the end of season 4 and then be told the series is renewed for a 5th season and have to come up with something ad hoc.

Re: Renewals & Cancellations
According to Joe Mallozzi that's pretty much covered when the show is first pitched.
