I know folk at Turner in the UK and they once told me that a lot of their market is TVs in european hotels, where the screens are still old 4:3 ratio 14in portables. I don't know if that's still the case but that's why CNN, Cartoon Network and TCM were still in the old ratio (and pretty low bit rate, too). Not sure if that's still the thinking. Turner is actually extremely profitable (Ben 10 being the jewel in the crown) so I'm surprised they don't address both the widescreen and HD issues now. |

TNA on Virgin Media update:
The Christmas Day showing of TNA Impact has been moved by Sky to Bravo2. Still no news on where or if TNA Impact will be shown in 2011. |

I think your subs will have to go up to get them on VM. Are they worth that? |
Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2010) Vol. IV
ITV2-4 HD are pretty pointless, for me anyway. I only watch a couple of programmes on ITV2 and maybe football games every now and then when they're on ITV4. In fact the only thing I'd want ITV2 HD for is the films near Christmas.
