So kicking a player in the balls is acceptable? Remind me next time you're playing and I'll challenge you that high.

Forest didnt play very well. Still, in previous years we've tended to play better in the away leg.

Never won a home game in the play offs.

I thought the penalty shout for forest was a decent one as well, looked like handball to me.

More ball to hand, he was moving out the way and didn't really look like he intended to handle it. I think giving it would probably have been quite harsh.

However as I said previously "He is quite an obnoxious and aggressive character who has had a diplomacy bypass but he doesn't deserve what he's had to endure this season."

My bad..I took a couple of your posts out of context :(

No manager or player should ever have to endure attacks on the pitch or in the street, regardless of how much of a horses rear end they are.

HOWEVER questions have to be asked as to why a high profile catholic manager of Celtic (Martin O'Neill) wasn't attacked or abused and was even grudgingly respected by Rangers fans and well liked by most other Scottish fans yet another high profile Catholic manager (Neil Lennon) is absolutely loathed by most fans out with Celtic.

Is it because he is Catholic or more to do with him?

His backing of the disgusting oxygen thieves known as the Green Brigade and their disgusting repertoire of songs plus the constant fanning of some fans paranoia hasnt helped him at all.

Funnily enough the last time I can think of a manager in Scotland being attacked was Paul le Guen. A catholic Rangers manager attacked by Celtic fans after a Hearts game. :erm:

Questions should be asked, and they should be directed at those people who appointed Lennon. They knew his personality and his background. They knew how volatile he was as a player so they can hardly be surprised that he falls below the standards of behaviour that should be expected of Celtic's manager.

The board's continued support of Lennon plays right into the hand of the knuckle draggers already paranoid nature.

You can't compare O'Neill to Lennon. Some friends of mine who support Rangers had a bit of respect and admiration for O'Neill. Not one of that has anything but loathing for Lennon. But then, AFAIK, there aren't any youtube videos of Martin singing anti-Rangers songs or spitting on Rangers scarves.

I don't think Lennon's particularly bright so he really should be pitied. When the Celtic board who appointed him finally weary of this circus, who will pick up the security tab that will obviously be needed?

At least one ultra-paranoid Celtic fan I've spoken to thinks this is all being fabricated and continually brought up in the media so Celtic can go to UEFA and demand the right to move to another league to escape the 'anti-catholic' feeling thats seemingly rampant in Scotland.

He's a lawyer... :dunce: :erm:

Still if they are allowed to move to the league of Ireland it will make some of the fans happy. :D

I don't buy this is simply dislike of Lennon with a sectarian slant. Let's remember the bombs sent a few weeks ago also went to two other Celtic fans, there seems to be increasing tension to go alongside Lennon's inflammatory style.

It's sectarianism. There's no slant on it. The history and the underlying causes of go back long before Neil Lennon was born.

Why has it raised it's ugly head again? I'm not entirely sure but obviously Neil Lennon is the figurehead hate figure for now. There has been an increased tension between Celtic and Rangers and indeed Celtic and the SFA but that doesn't explain how the Knuckle draggers have decided to become bomb makers.

Maybe the internet has just reached Kilwinning and the inbreeding ones have finally learnt how to learn to type with their 12 fingers. ;)

Disgraceful scenes from the Man Utd players following that penalty shout. They've obviously not heard of the Respect campaign.
