So Taco Trump says along with all those 200 beautiful trade deals he signed!

In reality, he now faces a dilemma:
To carry out his threat to reimpose tariffs which will severely disrupt the markets, or
To extend the deadline and give further credence to his Taco nickname.

I dont think it has much to do with tariffs or negotiations though.

Struggling to think what I could have said to make it clearer but here I go .
Increasing defence spending, if he keeps his word , which is very questable. If Trump hadn't i doubt the slimey one would have bothered.

I presume you are referring to the current defence review ?
It was part of the Labour Manifesto, and once they had won the election, it was announced in July 2024, long before Trump became President.
It was not in response to his utterings, but a response to the threats of Russia, China, Iran and North Korea.

It's because Uk are not able rely on the USA How ever you clearly know better. I'd start leaning Russian if the UK is relying on labour.

Yet BBC radio 4 got their report wrong . Stating that the UK will not have to pay the increased tariff. Do I need to explain this to some members

You just need to provide a linked source like anyone else on this forum.

If you've got information that corrects a reliable source, then you will start to win over members by providing a link to it. Stating that a source is wrong without any evidence cannot not make your case for you..

Try world at one today on BBC radio 4 . Fact I really didn't think that it needed explaining, silly me. The UK does not repeat, not pay the tariff the company importing does . Yes goods will cost more but the buyer not the seller pays.unless they reduce the price but still isn't paying :dozey:
