Sadly hooliganism has never disappeared and has always lurked in the background in my opinion and sadly its just a matter of time before someone will get seriously injured or killed and that's why l would even consider having fences in football again as it festers away in the background and if it was not for big police presences at many high risks football games we would be seeing serious hooliganism on a regular basis in my opinion.

That is the best result for football, utd win a cup they couldn't even be bothered to enter a few years back, LVG stays and continues his good work and the hammers qualify for Europe

Quality goal from Lingard to win it. I still find it unbelievable that some people think Rooney isn't good enough to play for England...

A lot of reliable sources saying that LVG will be sacked on Monday with Mourinho taking over on Tuesday

Even Defoe has outscored Rooney this season. In the midfield the likes of Dele Alli and Milner have outperformed him over the course. I like the guy I think his chances of being a super goalscorer were always hampered by constantly being thrown wherever. Go with the youth and form and lead with Kane and Vardy.

How many goals has Rooney scored in International finals where they're needed most? He's no Lineker or Shearer whom both scored more in one competition iirc than Rooney's combined tournament's. Unfortunately that has to change and you throw form players and youth in the mix. Again Vardy and Kane for the nod with Alli kicking about.

I don't really think it comes down to not being good enough bit rather far better options to choose from at present.

I think the disgraceful scene in the Scottish Final, was appalling. And they may bring Scottish football to merge with English football.

I don't think so.

Sadly the hooligans of Scottish football wont change. Can you imagine Celtic and Rangers come to play Chelsea, Arsenal, or any other London club for that matter.

There would be blood spilt all over the place

The problem with going with Kane, Vardy and Alli is that you have zero experience, no experience playing in major tournaments, for England or even European club football. There's actually very little experience in this England squad, that's why Rooney would be the first name on the team sheet for me. I think people have been extremely harsh on him this season, he started off badly but was on a good run of form before he had a long period out injured. He's come back and played very well, the last two games in particular. I would play him just behind Kane, or maybe a deeper role. I think he will prove a lot of people wrong this summer.

No experience of failing, of letting everyone down, of believing in your own hype, his game will hinder the youngsters not help them imo

Well 'youngsters' like Rashford, Lindgard, Martial, Borthwick-Jackson, Fosu Mensah, et al have not suffered by sharing the pitch with Rooney, quite the opposite.
He does take time to get up to speed after a lay off but has been playing very well in the past month or so.

Going by this performance against Turkey, England desperately need Rooney in the side....

Hardly been what Manchester utd would call a successful season has it and it's that time you mention is exactly what i meant when i said his game will hinder the youngsters. And why is wilshere being picked, give him a break to get fully fit with a proper pre season or else we might just lose him forever

Re: Football Season 2015/2016

Don't rate Wilshire, the way he always goes into tackles leaves him vulnerable to injury, or committing fouls.

And you did mention the 'youngsters' suffering, something they most certainly have not.
