My red-tops at the weekend have a whole variety of puzzles over 3 or 4 pages like sudoko, futoshiki, suguru and word workout: That's where the letters are replaced by numbers and you have to work out which letter goes where. They do give you three to get started. Good to keep the grey matter exercised. :)

Well worth getting one if you're a fan of hearty food. Used to see lots of them dirt cheap in charity shops but they're more popular now so bargains are harder to find. Cooks quicker, saves energy and means you can have the slow cooked flavour/texture without the long wait, so great when you don't have much time. I use mine quite a lot for chilli too and it does a great job.

Well as I'm fed up with where I work and the idiots in charge.

I applied for another job in my town, I would get 11 days a year holiday more, plus perks of a job in a college.

Yes it is less money, but as I'll save £1,500+ a year on diesel I won't lose out much.

Plus I won't miss
the idiots who drive in the middle lane of the M11.

I doubt I'll get anywhere as they seem interested on what I got for Maths & English some 32 years ago.

Don't worry about that, it's just part of the process...

What will get you to interview stage is giving extensive examples/answers to the competency based questions they ask, as in 'show where you have done....' on the application form.

I have worked at 3 Universities (back in industry now), and they are (mostly) interested in evidence that you have done the job you are applying for - the application system is a PITA, but once you've done one, you've got it for the future applications.

If you want to drop me a PM, happy to have a chat.

It's an administrator job, if I can handle the CAA, FAA, BCAA, ASA & ISO they should be easy.

Ultrasound scan today on the dangly bits has come up clear and the swelling is just fluid. The OH is killing himself laughing as the scan specialist and nurse were both women.

Yeah, very funny, not! A gay guy having his manhood covered in jelly and fondled by a woman. Last one to see it was my mother.

Still good news on the result. :)

Don't forget the old prostate check - had mine thoroughly probed when I was in hospital a while back. Not pleasant at the best of times but the doctor in question had hands like a bunch of bananas...

If it's engine oil not usually an issue except for the mess and needing a top up but make sure it's not gearbox. :erm:

I decided to look for something Japanese built when I took the Metro GTi off the road for intensive care & restoration. Hence the Mitsubishi Colt. Right car, low mileage and at the right price. :)

@Hom3r, good for your niece for not letting dyslexia stop her.

Well done to your niece Hom3r on getting A's clever girl.

I got my hair dyed the other day and was not sure I liked it but now I'm glad I did going by people's comments. I got it dyed silver/grey which most of my friends find hilarious due to them trying to cover the grey and here I am dying mine the very colour they are trying to cover. I just thought can beat it go with it :D

Hubby still not sure due to the drastic change from being red to now grey but my boy's love it the wee one said Mum your such a snob getting your hair done to match your car bless him, I must admit it is the same colour as my car.

My mum dyed her hair to match my dads car "Black"

She loves her colour, but not brave enough to go bolder colours.

Rabbit is lovely old bean when cooked properly and it saddens me that many in this country shy away at the mention of eating rabbit.

The other thing that will make John happy is that the Call Blocker has a Big Red Button that I intend to let him push to get rid of any nuisance callers. His swearing at the caller this morning, although it did the trick and seemed to be a great de-stressor for him, unnerved me and made me spill my mid-morning cuppa.

I had such a lovely day compared to yesterday my eldest son came with me while I did my parents shopping and the time flew by it was so nice to have some company for a change then he treated me to lunch nothing fancy just a cuppa and a scone from Sainsbury's cafe, I suspect the reason he took me there rather than Morrison's cafe is he gets his employee discount there. We had a good old chat and I must say what a perfect gentleman he is as all I got all day was Mum just go in the car I'll put the shopping in the boot then when we got to his Granny & Papa's it was Mum you go in I'll get the messages/shopping he even put it all away for his Granny and Papa.

He now thinks that his grandparents a mad as I have to go to three shops for there shopping 1st shop Asda, 2nd shop Morrison's then finally Sainsbury's for just one item which is Sainsbury's Somerset Brie, I did laugh when he said Papa and Granny do know that they can get all this stuff from the one shop, he was also amazed when my Dad gave me 3 envelopes with money in each one and the envelopes were marked with A, M and S, he did ask what a envelopes for and I said your see :D he soon worked out A means Asda, M means Morrisons and S for Sainsburys.

Well, finally this week has finished. YAY! I kid you not, thanks to Google Maps on my phone, I can tell you what time I was at my jobs this week just gone. Seriously, think twice before applying to WIS International, because these times don't include the travel times to and from jobs.

Sunday, Canary Wharf. 12:50-23:56
Monday, Victoria. 17:29-03:00
Tuesday, Chelsea. 18:56-02:14
Wednesday, Clapham. 17:56-03:08
Thursday, Southampton. 20:17-04:26

Kodi is a piece of software used for streaming and can be installed on phones pcs, tablets, sticks etc.

To be honest it makes it easy for someone to click a button and just stream something that they don't pay for, so it isn't for everyone of course. :devsmoke:

Just had a chat with our Motor Insurers, as our cars were up for renewal.

We've got the annual renewal price dropped from £612 to £419 (for a six month old Ford KA+ and a three year old Ford Focus Titanium Estate).

Worth an hour's work on other insurers' websites, then discussing this with our current insurer...

Why are women like hurricanes?

They come in all wet and windy and leave with half your house. :D

Fusspot woman next door has been getting all vexed about the state of the dividing fence, my fence. Anyhow she's now putting up a new fence on her side of the wall. When it's done I'll take down the remains of my fence and we get an extra foot of garden. Yay! :)
