Will let you know how I feel tomorrow!

First went fine, "slight hangover" was how I'd describe waking up the next day but that was it.

Mrs G felt pretty rough after both AZ jabs. I felt under the weather after first AZ jab. Booked my second for 16:50 so I know I will still feel fine when we go to sister-in-law's for a takeaway curry the same evening - not quite ready not go to restaurants yet.

Woke up a bit lethargic, extra couple of hours in bed. Feel fine.

I had no reaction to my second jab at all (and only a bit of a sore arm after the first one).

My second should have been at the GP surgery today, but has been postponed a week due to "supply problems".

I realise that you are not concerned about the lack of any real reactions but in case anyone is worried by the minimum lack of reaction to their vaccinations I thought my experience could put their minds at rest. I was the same as you after my first Pfizer vaccination and I was worried that there had been no evidence of any real response by my immune system.

As my Consultant is part of an ongoing research project into my Immune System condition my antibody status is being checked every 4 weeks and there has been a positive result with increasing levels from my first test just 2 weeks after my fist jab in January and more so after my second jab in March.

My last couple of tests over the last 5 weeks now indicate that my levels seems to have started to stabilise and I will be interested to see what future tests show.

For anyone who has has had at least the first AZ vaccination here's a link to an antibody study( published 13/5/2021) that seems to be very encouraging.

Just had my second jab. Only side effect a craving for a single malt. Craving satiated.

That makes me feel better Chris even though I only had a Glenmorangie available.

World-first COVID-19 vaccine booster study launches in UK

Quote:

19 May 2021 Health and Social Care Secretary, Matt Hancock, said:

The UK vaccination programme has been a phenomenal national effort, with seven in 10 UK adults now having had their first COVID-19 jab. It is vital that we continue to support the world-renowned British research sector that has contributed to its success.

We will do everything we can to future-proof this country from pandemics and other threats to our health security, and the data from this world-first clinical trial will help shape the plans for our booster programme later this year.

I urge everyone who has had both doses of a COVID-19 vaccine, and is eligible, to sign up for this study and play a part in protecting the most vulnerable people in this country and around the world for months and years to come.
