Re: Football Season 2012/2013
It seems that we have Yes man as England manager.
Hodgson has stated that Ferdinand wasn't selected as a matter of football tactics, but we all know that he couldn't have Ferdinand and John Terry in the same dressing room, but to me if Ferdinand wasn't selected then neither should have Terry. The FA are hypicrites. |

Personally, although Terry can be a good player, I still mantain it is wrong of Hodgson and FA to allow a player facing trial for racist abuse to travel to a country where he will most likely be treated as a hero by the bigots there in Ukraine.

Well I'm sorry, but I think the evidence is overwhelming. Course, it doesn't help that I don't like him either.

The innocent till proven guilty is a farce in my book, Terry is facing a court regarding racism.
He should have been dropped from the squad till proven innocent, you cannot have one rule for one, and then another. What is wrong with the FA and Hodgson to come out and say it was for football reasons, Ferdinand has more experience and is much needed, and for Paul Merson to come out and say it is wrong for his agent to come out and say what he did, he cannot talk. Look at the shame he brought on his club. To me it looks like The FA and Hodgson are backing Terry, which is a disgrace in itself - the CPS would not have taken it to court if there was no basis to it. |

Re: Football Season 2012/2013
The Terry situation is this, if it was Joe Bloggs in the street, and our employer found out, we would be in serious trouble as racism is treated very seriously.
So why on earth is a footballer treated any differently, already we have people saying that black players should not be going to Poland in fear of trouble, why is it that the FA allowing Terry going as he is facing a racism charge. Racism is a serious business, and it appears that the FA are doing this 'respect stuff' but in this case they are not, they have basically told Ferdinand that he cannot play for 'football reasons', which between the lines are saying we don't want you there in case it cuases trouble with Terry- so where is the respect campaign now. |
