Don't just do a private message as they may only get it if they come back to the forum. Do an email as well. :)

No need for an email as they should get a PM notification via email detailing the content of the PM.. This is standard set-up for all accounts

Cheers Kymmy thanks for that. I couldn't remember whether this was something to you had to elect to happen with PM's.

I still think an email wouldn't do any harm though. I'm a great believer in using every avenue available when trying to get my point across. :D

It seems a shame that roomsnet.com still doesn't appear to have got it's act together. Doesn't fill me with any confidence when considering whether to use them in the future. It must have a detrimental effect on the firms reputation when they miss an opportunity to show that they are a firm that can be trusted.

It is the default setting, but can be disabled by the user. Roomsnetnews has it enabled, but it does of course assume that the email address they gave remains valid for incoming communications ;)

Well well well... Roomsnet have been in touch and have said that i had been overlooked but were going to sort it out this week. I will let you know if / when i receive the money back. I really do think they are starting to try and build back up their reputation !!

Davren, was that from just a PM or email as well?? Just that those who come after you who might have also been overlooked would find that info helpful

Good luck davren. Haven't heard of any cancelled bookings with them for a while so hopefully they have sorted everything out.

Re: roomsnet.com warning

I recieved a refund of my original booking back in November last year but did not recieve a refund of my additional costs £176,which they said the would do

After visiting this page yesterday I sent PM to them from this board.

This morning I recieved a call stating they had credited my extra costs to my Roomsnet account( As if I was going to use them again)

Anyway I told them I wanted the money credited to my bank account. They said they would get back to me

Watch this space

After two PMs from this board plus another from my own e-mail account. I finally received a refund of almost all of my extra costs, I incurred last September.

The end of a long saga.
