First Friday practice session starts in about 80 minutes or so. Damn this is close. :D

Just finished watching free practice on the "RED" button.
Enjoyed the 5Live commentary and it was so nice not to have to endure adverts every 15 minutes.
And it seems that were going to be in for a rather lively season. Even Force India were faster than Ferrari & McLaren in 2nd free practice.
Nice to see Brawn GP doing well and even better that its getting some sponsorship from Virgin.

Free Practice results

Starting to flag at work after watching the red button service. Good to see the Williams back where they belong and it must be areal morale booster for the team at Brawn after all they have been through.:tu:

If KERS is going to stay I think they (FOTA & FIA) must try and find a simple fan friendly way to show who has KERS fitted and when the boost button is pressed.

Early bed night tonight. Really looking forward to Qually :)

No adverts yea, but the cars do look ugly with those stubby rear wings and the fronts are no better, I am amazed at the amount of tank slappers and cars going off track.

The big boys are really having problems and I do not know what to make of it, I would like to see Jenson in a competitive car so he can show us what he can do, I'm really exited now :)

You can't record from that with a V+ box, although you are correct I can record from the freeview stream so maybe I will have to setup the PC to record that for me.

Re: Formula 1 2009 Season

The teams using KERS, especially in a potential KERS versus KERS situation, will not want to be giving too much feedback.

Not quite sure where KERS will be useful, I'd assume there is enough engine power in the lower gears that KERS would be useless, so are we actually looking a potential boost in slipstreaming drags on the straight - pop out of the slipstream and hit the KERS button - and if the other guy has it, he'll be on it as well.

The teams without / not running KERS end up with more ballast weight to place, one argument aganst using KERS seems to be that it is quite a lump of weight and not particularly convenient to place.

I can see KERS very useful for being used to overtake on straights, at the starting line and at qualifying during the final straight.

The Brawn GP cars are 1-2, Button on pole, Barrichello 2nd. Vettel's Red Bull 3rd, Kubica 4th in the KERS-less BMW which is surprising considering how many problems he had with the car on Friday, and dearly beloved Hammy down towards the rear of the grid with a drivetrain problem preventing him from leaving the garage in Q2!

Oh, and much love BBC for not making the show all about Lewis Hamilton for a change. :)
