Hmmm possibly. These all played for the top club in England though, so it's quite easy to be loyal then, and at least 2 of them weren't particularly loyal to their country. The only one I can think of in recent times who was loyal to their club, in spite of some massive offers, is Matt Le Tissier.

So signing for United is considered disloyal?

With Rooney and Ronaldo I think I can see what you're saying. Not sure about the first two though

Carrick and Hargreaves both demanded moves after their clubs said they weren't for sale, which I don't have to much of a problem with per se, what really annoys me is when they are kissing the club badge one moment and demanding a transfer the next

So they wanted to be transfered to a bigger and more successful club. Remind me again, this is connected to Ronaldo how? If a player shows ambition then you'd regard him as disloyal?

In any case, there's a quiet rumour going around that Ronnie's got no intentions of joining Real yet, but is pushing for an improved contract offer from United.

Are Man Utd more successful than Bayern? And Real are a lot more successful than United, hell even Liverpool are more successful than United, not that it matters, the fact is the players were under contract and despite the fact their clubs didn't want to sell them a certain other club wouldn't take no for an answer and re your loyalty point, presumably you'd have no problem with him going then if that's your attitude

A fair few premiership defenders can rest a bit easier tonight ;)

Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor is closing in on a switch to Milan, according to the Togo international's agent.

Wow.

I bet there are plenty of Utd fans hoping Ronaldo would follow Adebayor's example below:

He's cut out all speculation by releasing a clear cut statement. Good on him.

Conflicting messages are coming out of Arsenal after striker Emmanuel Adebayor pledged his long-term future to the club at midday, before just over an hour later, in an interview with Sky Sports News, conceding he could yet still sign for Milan.

The assembled press must have thought Adebayor was set for a stay at Emirates Stadium after his press conference, but when quizzed later on whether there was any chance of a move to Milan he replied: "Nothing has been decided yet. We will decide next week."
Now! You were saying?

Well I stand corrected. I hadn't read anyything to the contrary when I made my original post. In that case if its true that he was still umming and aaahing an hour later then he is as much of a numpty as ronaldo regarding fueling speculation.
