I am hoping that this will be good. I loved cold feet. Seeing where the characters are now could be interesting.

Fans of Cold Feet rejoice!

The ITV show will begin filming in Manchester for its new sixth series in February 2016.

Cold Feet previously ran for five series from 1997, with the main characters made up of couples Adam and Rachel (James Nesbitt and Helen Baxendale), Pete and Jenny (John Thomson and Fay Ripley), and Karen and David (Hermione Norris and Robert Bathurst).
The new series will be eight episodes long and feature all of the above actors bar Baxendale (RIP Rachel).

Further casting will be announced later.

It's official: ITV has confirmed it has picked up The Voice UK and The Voice Kids in a big new deal.

The channel has also ordered an ITV2 spinoff show, with everything kicking off in 2017.
ITV - which beat off the BBC to win the series in a huge bidding war - confirmed today that it has picked up three series of the main show and two series of the children's version.

But ITV's director of television Peter Fincham hinted that it might not necessarily be the end of The X Factor.

According to an Article on TV Wise a while ago, ITV were miffed that BBC got the show originally by beating ITV in the negotiations.

Seems like ITV were holding on to some sour grapes. Personally, I don't care who has it as I don't watch it. I do hope ITV have had to pay mega-bucks and way over the top to get the rights though. Money loaded networks, who use that money to take away successful shows from less well of networks (and I'm not just referring to the BBC) really irritate me. Sky are guilty of the same practice.

Luther Season 4 air date

http://www.tvwise.co.uk/2015/11/bbc-...ther-season-4/

Quote:

The two-episode fourth season of Luther will premiere on BBC One on Tuesday December 15th at 9pm, it has been announced.

Created by Neil Cross, Luther follows Detective Chief Investigator John Luther, a near-genius detective struggling to cope with his own demons as he investigates major crimes for the Metropolitan Police Service. The drama series is produced by BBC Drama Productions and stars Idris Elba as John Luther. Michael Smiley, Dermot Crowley, Rose Leslie, Laura Haddock, Darren Boyd, John Heffernan and Patrick Malahide also star.
How can they call it a season when there is only 2 episodes? That can't even be classed as a mini series!

Doctor Who and Call the Midwife will be back, with Luther (December 15) and Sherlock (January 1) also returning.

EastEnders promises "tragedy" at Christmas - what else? - but a Mrs Brown's Boys special and two episodes of Catherine Tate's Nan will be bringing the laughs.

Offering up some variety will be the two-part Strictly Come Dancing final, and the Christmas special, with returnees including Abbey Clancy and Harry Judd.

Well as I have problems with my eyes due to complications from Diabetes, I do find it hard to read a badly typed paragraph.

So its just better to copy and paste the link to the story and a short part of the story so people can read the full story themselves. If they so wish. Not to mention easier than having to type it all yourself.

Those weren't actually bars. The old shows were made in 4:3 and when broadcast on a HD channel were always shown in the original aspect. SD channels use to strech them to 16:9. However now it looks like the HD channels are broadcasting them in the channels native ratio.

As a result of ABC’s decision to push the premiere of the second season of Marvel’s Agent Carter by two weeks due to President Obama’s State Of The Union address to both Houses of Congress on January 16th, the show’s UK launch date is also being delayed.

FOX UK has confirmed to TVWise that they will be following the lead of the U.S network and the show’s second season, which had been set to debut on January 17th, will now kick off a week later on Sunday January 24th at 9pm.

Supergirl got off to a soaring start in the UK, as it has become Sky 1's highest-rated series launch in nearly three years.
The US show, which had an overnight audience of 680,000 viewers for its first episode, added another million to bring its consolidated total to 1.64 million.
Not since March 2013 - when JJ Abrams's Revolution attracted 2.15 million - has a launch managed such numbers on the channel.

Netflix has acquired international subscription streaming rights to CBS’ Zoo and The CW’s Jane The Virgin in more than Jane the Virgin50 countries around the world.
That is in addition to the domestic SVOD rights to the two CBS TV Studios series, which Netflix already owns in two separate deals, one for Zoo and one with CBS TV Studios and Warner Bros.

TV for previous seasons of the CW series. The new pact also is in addition to the first-window broadcast international deals for Zoo CBS Studios inked in June. It further solidifies Zoo‘s renewal chances.
Quote:

Netflix has picked up global SVOD rights to USA’s upcoming drama series Colony, from Carlton Cuse, Legendary TV and Universal Cable Prods. That includes second-window domestic streaming rights to Colony in a deal similar to the recent one Netflix made for ABC/ABC Studios’ How To Get Away With Murder. Netflix will stream Colony about a year after its linear broadcast on USA in the U.S., on Bell Media’s Bravo in Canada, and after its linear broadcast in other territories worldwide.

I think the point was you posted some info but no link to confirm it and when I tried to find the site it didn't exist at the address you posted. Also the news was actually from September as confirmed in the link I posted.

That is why links are a helpful thing to post, so people can actually read and check what is posted.

After searching I've managed to find the site you tried to get the story from and also the article, again from back in September.

http://vodzilla.co/blog/vod-news/car...ix-uk-in-2016/

Quote:

On 29, Sep 2015

Netflix has signed a deal with Legendary Television and Universal Cable Productions for the global rights to Colony,

The new drama from Lost creator Carlton Cuse and Ryan Condal (Hercules) follows one family’s struggle to survive and bring liberty back to the people of an occupied Los Angeles.

The deal follows an agreement with CBS for the global rights to Jane the Virgin and Zoo, as well as deals for How to Get Away with Murder and the Scream TV series. Unlike those, however, Netflix’s deal for Colony arrives before the show has even aired.

The series will premiere in the USA on 14th January 2016. Netflix has the rights to the show after its linear broadcast, which means that it will only arrive on Netflix UK following its US run – but American subscribers will have to wait for a year for the first season to be available for streaming in the States.
So it won't be on UK Netflix for a while?? Am rather confused by that last paragraph.

Re: Virgin TV (What's on soon)

Thats not what the article states at all.

It will only air on Netflix UK AFTER its first run on Linear TV in the USA.

That means it will only arrive after its been on TV in the USA. So the series has to actually finish airing first.

I confess I'm a bit confused by this quote:
"Unlike those, however, Netflix’s deal for Colony arrives before the show has even aired."
I guess it means that the deal for Colony has been signed before the show has aired on linear TV. However, the use of the term "arrives" is rather strange would you not say "Netflix's deal for Colony has been signed before the series has aired"
