Yes they should do but then they set up new channels and ask outrageous carriage fees in return for the new channels.

Pass not sure on that, I think the OFCOM deal is only for Sky Sports 1 and 2 HD , hence no 3 and 4 HD.

Due to Ofcoms weakness Sky are still riding roughshot over Virgin with regards to new channels, they should be forced to sell their channels at a price set by a independent body and if Ofcom cannot do that then appoint someone who can.

But they hardly put 2 passes together and l think the Man Utd keeper fell asleep as he never had a save to make.

Maybe some of them.

In the 2 months we have had Sky I have never seen any Red Button coverage of Super League, The upcoming schedule dosen't say there will be any either.

I have seen Super Rugby Red Button coverage though but that is a different competition (Union).

That's correct Super League (Rugby League) isn't on red button , however I believe you can watch after match analysis on sky sports extra online , but I believe that's only for Sky customers.

Indeed but none of those games are Super League matches. Super Rugby is an entirely different competition and code, it is Rugby Union.

There is no red button coverage of Super League as far as I am aware.

Sky have not confirmed this as far as I know but they have said one of the games will be on red button. Merely because they will be top before the final match kicks off I would guess Rangers will be on Sky Sports 4, then again Rangers could be crowned champions tonight anyway so it may not be a major issue.

There is often Rugby Union red button coverage on SSP, particularly Super (15) Rugby so you will enjoy it when it fully launches.

Yep.

The super 15 and the Heineken cup rugby is the only reason I started this topic really.

Champions League is a bonus too.

Yup, it was bound to be that after Rangers victory last night ensured they would go into the last day on top.

As Mobes said it was intended to be a light hearted aside.

However, as newsworthy incidents go, there have been far more replays of the assault than of any of the goals.

I do hope that they do test it out on the football before next season. So this would be one of the best as the PL seems to be almost sewn up:confused:

Still can't get red button to work in Larkhall, can't get On Demand Programmes in Larkhall, Still getting very annoyed.

---------- Post added at 22:32 ---------- Previous post was at 22:25 ----------

Just phoned Virgin Media (Indian Call Centre) and advised them of the Red Button problem and Limited On Demand Service that I have had for some time now and he advised me that Engineers are aware of a Network problem in my street and that it's going to be resolved by 9.00am in the morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He can't give me any details who logged the call, when it was logged and/or if the issues being encountered by someone are the same. Do you think I have been palmed off?

Looks like the guy was telling the truth but only for the Missing On Demand Content - still hanging in the wind for the Red Button.

Might just move to Tivo if it's the V+ HD Box that's the problem. But as I posted last week what king of organisation releases a product/value add that won't work on a style of unit. My reading on the VM community forum is that a lot of people who have this box encounter constant crashes and therefore reboots

How do I now explain to my wife that there is a five minute break in her recording of House!!!!!! Sorry love was pfaffing around testing the red button again that I know doesn't work

is there a list anywhere as to what programs - esp live cricket - that will carry the red button

Re: No Sky Sports red button on Virgin Media ??

We switched from Sky to Virgin Media because their internet connection is so much better. There "on demand" is excellent but I do think Sky have a better TV package as you cannot get Sky Atlantic or Sky HD channels on Virgin media. I paying for the XL package which includes Sky and it is infuriating that they do not make available important games such as the Celtic v Motherwell game on Sunday.

I have nothing but praise for Virgin Media Customer Services. They sort out problems quickly and will replace a faulty box at no extra charge. Sky except you to pay insurance for their boxes and their Customer Services is very poor.

I will not switch back to Sky as a result of their blackmailing techniques. Virgin Media for me even if I cannot watch certain Sky channels - though I am tempted to cancel the Sky Sports channel and I would if ESPN showed all the SPL games.

Any such list would probably have all red button content on SS but this won't all be available via red button on VM

Are you sure they said on the red button , as rugby league usually show extras after on Sky Sports Extra online and that's only available to Sky customers I think.

Has Virgin Cable finally got full access to the Sky Sports red button service?!, i.e., if i was to watch live county Cricket will i have access to Sky Sports Active where i can change the camera angle to view stump-cam?, the reason i ask is because the only red button service i can see is the bottom right-hand-corner red button logo for the Cricket on the Sky Sports 4 channel, it's still a good iniative considering Cable customers have been waiting for over ten years for any red button serice on BSkyB channels.

At the moment it's a partial service. It'll be a few months until it is complete.

The features you mention (camera angles and stump-cam?) are not available on Sky as far as I know, I have not seen it anyway. They canned the camera angle and player cam stuff years ago for football.

Red Button on any sport is now just used for extra content with the odd stat and highlight threw in.
