Cable Forum - General Coming Soon to Virgin Media TV (2016) Vol 2

I am in the process of sizing up my alternative package from Sky so comparing channels and am really surprised that I had no idea about most of the channels VM have added even a year ago. ok most are a waste of time but 1 or 2 I might have used if I had known. I wonder why VM don't communicate these things to their customers? (clearly I didn't read this thread enough!)

I'm sure this happens to lots of people.

They could easily send a message to TiVo customers, in fact I remember Carl saying that he had put this to the office of the CEO and they appeared very keen on the idea.

Generally, when channels are moved around, VM put a icon at the top of the discovery bar on the tivos but I don't know whether they have ever done it with new channels. Perhaps they should and make it "stick" there as well so it gets noticed.

Virgin are dreadful at telling customers news. They`d rather keep you in the dark for some reason. I only knew about Universal hd through this forum1

I used to keep an eye on this thread to keep track of what was "Coming Soon". I gave up when it became too cluttered with chit-chat and you had to wade through it all to find anything of note.

Look like Virgin Media UK are making room for more "after 10pm" channels to launch as they have moved one of the PIN Channels from Virgin UK Channel 981 to Virgin UK Channel 985.

NOTE: Movie Mix and Movies 4 Men will only appear before Sky Cinema HD if Virgin Media UK moved Film4 channels and also put Sky Cinema HD Channels but by 10.

The coming soon thread is to talk and discuss what could potentially come soon

If you want a definite what has newly launched use the "Virgin media change log" on this forum.

If you want an idea of what's coming up soon use media boys blog. Everything which is known to happen is there.

And then we can continue to chit chat in here without bothering you :)

Look at the list maybe Virgin Media UK is set to launch some "After 10pm" Phone in channels (We are not talking about Football) maybe an well known channel may launch (I hear joke about them on Mock the Week.)

I doubt that anyone would want you to post them. You are still being very vague about what these "photos" show, most of the channels which actually have video/audio streams are encrypted so any "photo" wouldn't show very much. If someone is showing you photos of unencrypted feeds taken at the central headend, that is very nice but meaningless until the feeds hit the national network.

Have you seen Movie Mix? It's called Movie Mix for a reason, it has movies and other content. It doesn't really belong in the Movie EPG genre.
