Weather said we weren't going to get any signs of snow here until Sunday. so we get some snow this morning

watching the news and the reporter is somewhere where the snow isn't that bad. it looks like when it's thawing out and almost gone. she bends down and wipes a bit of snow off a sign and says this gives you an idea of how bad it is

send her to somewhere where there is snow and she'd wet herself. it's crazy the way the media try and make it sound like it's a crisis when really it's just a little bit of snow.

The temperature at 1pm:

And the temperature on the solar panels at the same time:

I love technology. Free hot baths even in the middle of winter. :D

-7C in Manchester at present, it will be one or two degrees less than that up here in Oldham, either way it is the coldest it has been this winter.

Only after you subtract the price of the solar panels and their installation. Out of interest: when (relative to installation) will you start to actually save money?

So where is this snow?Seems the forecast has changed again.

So much for that couple who had a snow sled taking up room in their trolley at Asda yesterday..They are going to have to make a hell of a hike to find any snow round here.

It's here. We had about 6 inches overnight and it's still coming down heavily. I'm going to get some more photos, but not until it eases off a bit. It's looking decidedly arctic out there.
