It was £6 a few months ago, after subbing I don't think I will bother again.

Your post just reminded me to cancel before it got renewed.

Premier Sports to become Viaplay Sports and Freesports to become Viaplay Xtra.

I don't see any mention of their apps, existing or new in this, so I'll have to seek out the press release.

Be interesting to see what happens with Netgem tv as they have premier sport included.

I'm sure that will continue as long as the existing contract does.
What's happening to the Box Nation channel under Viaplay?

The Times web site is reporting that Amazon Prime will step away from televising tennis in the UK at the end of 2023.

The report say the digital giant is not in the running for the fresh round of ATP and WTA rights.

Report say Sky Sports (soon to confirm a US Open deal) and unnamed broadcasters are said to be interested.

Mike aka A516Digital is now reporting that The Times also says that Sky may launch Sky Sports Tennis HD if successful.

Thanks for posting this.

I think it confrms what most of us know already - Amazon is not going all-in for sports rights, it's taking an opportunistic approach.

It will be interesting to see if Viaplay outbids Amazon for a small Premier League rights package when they come up for renewal.

Viaplay are one to watch, information from my old work place has said they intend to push for 3pm kickoffs to be aired under a premium pass package.

Absolutely zero chance of this. I completely support the idea but the protectionist cartels won’t allow it.

It was reveal last week that the EFL is willing to consider scrapping Saturday TV blackout in next TV deal starting in August 2024.

I see that Netflix has made a return to growth. What does it put this down to? Releasing its popular series on a weekly basis so users maintain their subscriptions instead of binge-watching and then pausing the subscription.

Who would have believed such a well-established model could work? :D
