Yes, I suspect McLaren (If Arthur quoted correctly) meant a large difference between English players and continental European players. Which is mostly true. European players tend to have a far better technical ability and are a better ability to read the game. English players tend to focus on strength and speed.

Which is why he failed at Forest because he was trying to make the players play a more intelligent, continental style and they weren't clever enough.

I think time now has to be called on Rio Ferdinands England career. And there also has to be doubt's with John Terry and even Steven Gerrard. JT's pace has gone completely and I am afraid Stevie G is becoming injury prone.

they get away with murder. reading stuff like that puts you off watching footy but such is the culture and 'passion' you get drawn back in so again, they get away with murder!

Yeah, we missed Robben, v. Persie, Affelay and v.d. Vaart. But Germany really were miles better. Still, it's only a friendly, and hopefully it'll give them a bit of a wakeup call.

This is one of Sepp Blatter's worst gaffes, without a doubt. On the day that Blatter says there is no racism in football, the FA has charged Luis Suarez with just that. The FA is taking a tough stance on racism and this could lead to a lengthy ban, potentially. If someone is found guilty of racial abuse the FA will, I'm sure, throw the book at them.

Yes thats right but the trouble in this country we have trial by tabloid and the media finds them guilty even before a case is heard.

I did not mean anything in that way shape or form. All I was just saying that this was a major gaffe in respect to Sepp. If you want to read any more in to it that is your opinion.
