I would say install 10 no reason to hate it.

I bought a Lenovo x220 i5-2520M (sandybridge) 8Gb, 250Gb HDD from ebay for £120 about 2 months ago.

There are lots of posts on Lenovo forums about issues with upgrading, mainly due to HD 3000 graphics not being supported on Windows 10.

I tried the free upgrade to see how it was but intended to go back if there were problems, not had any issues really.

I had the graphics drivers crash once but after a reboot it was fixed.

For this system I cannot see any major issues with the upgrade.
I'll change to an SSD for boot drive eventually but it seems to be usable much sooner than Windows 7 when starting from cold, even on a mechanical drive.

certainly does seem the newer the computer or major upgrade then no problem but
does mean another lot of redundent computers for those not working properly

Another problem not been fixed is SHOCKWAVE FLASH on Firefox hanging or
crashing not as bad on Win10 though .

Just a heads up for anyone still wanting the free upgrade to Windows 10, Microsoft has confirmed the free upgrade off ends on July 29th 2016.

Try not to panic it is only a computer, you just have to get used to any changes, but you will get loads of Windows 10 haters in here soon!

If it's installed as an update, you have 30 days to remove it via add/remove programs I believe.

Thanks for your help, I will make up my mind if I want to keep it tomorrow, I would have been lost if I never had my IPad to ask the board. Cheers

I can understand the shock of installing W.10. It looks completely different but try not to roll back to the previous OS too quickly. I can only say to sit back, take look around the system and give it a while. Familiar parts are still there beneath the Desktop tiles and presentation. A couple of days experience can sometimes make all the difference. Windows Explorer (or File Explorer) should look familiar and the Control Panel is still there.

Right-click on the Windows icon in the bottom left-hand corner for quick access to familiar parts of the computer.

I have installed W.10 on two home Desktop computers and it runs well on both of them.

I have Windows 10 running just fine on both my desktops and my laptop.

Look around at it and I am sure you will want to stick with Windows 10
