Talent led home a one-two for trainer Ralph Beckett in the Investec Oaks at Epsom as the 20-1 shot, partnered by Richard Hughes, beat her better-fancied stablemate Secret Gesture by three and three-quarter lengths.

She appeared to break a touch slowly and was towards the back of the field throughout the early stages of the Classic, while Jim Crowley kicked for home two furlongs out aboard her stable companion.

Talent looked a little uncomfortable on the course and did not get the best of passages when switched wide to launch her challenge down the middle of the track, but she produced a devastating burst of speed to poke her head in front inside the distance and galloped away for an impressive success. The Lark was third and Moth fourth.

'Afraid' Dettori back in business

Abbey seeking Coronation hat-trick

Cheers Den. My parents back garden goes on to the race course and they speak to a lot of the jockeys and horse breeders, so will see if any of their tips match up with yours :)

Yes its great when people live not too far from the racecourse and hopefully one day our family will go to Epsom.
