When I updated DigiGuide earlier it gave a list of new channels to add and ESPN America HD (532) was on the list. Is it going to be launched soon on VM.

Rumoured to be set to launch in August. But as far as I know ''Talks are ongoing'' with Virgin and ESPN.

Another rumour going round is that a few people on Digital Spy have said they phoned CS today and they said:

We know £20.50 is too high for the Sky Sports pack so we will drop 40% off the price as soon as OFCOM set the ruling. This ruling will take around 2 months. So You will be paying £20.50 for both Sky Sports pack and HD with it.

The ruling has been made and a deal reached, the decision is being appealed but the difference has been agreed to go into a escrow account in the meantime.

So you sign another 12 month contract on the hearsay from a bod on a telephone that prices might come down in the future. Strange, but in my experience of cable TV prices always tend to go up in the future, not down.

The One thing that everyone seems to have forgoten about is that a Tivo box is out before Xmass. This is going to make Sky sit up and take notice....
I have spoken to someone who is working on this project for virgin and it IS going to be BIG.

Sky sports (and movies) have a min 30 day contract.
