Seems it's just down to the medical.
You know what? I think they'll find he's got a broken foot. Don't ask me how I know.

looks like Rooney has past the medical now.

Re: [Merged] - Football talk

Where does everybody else see Rooney fitting in? I would imagine that Fergie would continue David Moyes good work and have Rooney playing between 20-30 games, not necessarily starting each one. This way, he stays fit, fresh and has time to fit into the team.

Especially as Fergie does not have to force things the way Alan Smith is playing (Mark Hughes re-incarnate!).

Speaking of David Moyes - he must be gutted. £25 million to spend and the transfer window closing!

What you like? I think Fergie has paid to much for him, he's not proved himself yet, 3 good games in the Euro Championships doesn't warrant a £23 million price tag.

David Moyes said he would leave Everton if Rooney went for less than 30 million.... :erm:

That's the Newcastle Managerial vacancy filled then ;)
Dunno what the fee is yet though.

Just heard 6 year contract for £20,000 ,000 plus other fees
another £7,000, 000 dependant on appearances

Perhaps not but it's his future United are also paying for. It's not just about Euro 2004, he's proven in the last 2 seasons he's a hot prospect. I won't be drawn on whether I think he's worth the fee but assuming he stays at United for the rest of his career which on average would last about another 15+ years, it's not such an unwise investment in principle.

he's already shown he's got talent and if anyone can make a young player improve and calm down abit it's Fergie. Think we made a good buy and can't wait to see him in action. How about a Rooney hatrick on Sept 20 when we play Liverpool that would be a good way to start off at United

I have just read that United are still owed £12 million from Lazio for the sale of Jaap Stam.

Just how much money has this club got ? :erm:

that's really annoying for me as a Palace fan as well. When ew had money problems and owed some money to a few italian clubs they would rather we went bankrupt than wait for their money.

Now all the Italian clubs have no money they are making everyong wait for their money.
