Re: Channels switched to MPEG4

Media Boy HQ feel that new BT Sport 1 HD Channel is for N. Ireland so they can watch the 3pm kick offs in the EPL.

JJ20X via Forum Box did reveal on Thursday that:

The additional BT Sport 1 HD and E! HD take up the first two of the three vacant slots discovered yesterday.

We are betting on that final vacant slot going to CNBC HD.

We think it safe to say Sky One +1 and Pick +1 is NOT set to launch in the coming weeks on Virgin Media UK.

We also feel E! HD will launch on August 15th. (Base on past tests).

I hadn't noticed before, but the Sky Sports Red Button multiplex looks to be starting to switch to MPEG4. SptsETV01 has a MPEG4 version on Tsid9(CO32) on DigitalBitRate.

I just realised the 3pm games are on Premier Sport, not BT sport.

JJ20X on Forum Box is reporting that the following channels has moved to the new stream.

-BBC ONE HD (England)
-ITV HD (Central)
-ITV HD (London)
-ITV HD (Meridian)
-UTV HD

Due to them changed multiplex/frequency you will need to re-Add to your Favourites.

Re: Channels switched to MPEG4

When is Virgin Media UK going to move the last 17 broadcasting channels over to MPEG4?

They can fit all channels into one stream if Virgin want to.

Which channels are these MB? As i'm short on disc space, it would be useful to watch/delete any MPEG2 recordings first.

Maybe nothing but the 7 unknown channels are broadcasting on new stream CO03.

Here is the link for "Channel A"

http://www.digitalbitrate.com/dtv.ph...&sec=0&lang=en

The last time we saw DBR last Wednesday we think it was want from CO02 to CO29.

Channel A to Channel D are also broadcasting with Teletext.

I have a theory what's happened. If you look on DigitalBitRate there is currently no Good Food HD. HD multiplexes are usually 7 channels on VM. So what you are seeing Media Boy is likely the multiplex Good Food HD is on, but there's been a scanning error, or a problem on VM's network, on that multiplex and the name data isn't currently working for any of the channels on it.

In theory this should be proven by there being 6 other HD channels "missing" (well mislabeled), but at a glance I'm not sure which ones they are.

We have seen that Dave HD is also not listed so you maybe right on the nose.

Re: Channels switched to MPEG4

Media Boy, I asked JJ20X on Forumbox who thinks it's noise issues on the VHF channel. They also listed the channels that should be showing on DBR for TSID 33.
Eden HD, Good Food HD, Dave HD, W HD, Bloomberg HD, Love Nature HD, Racing TV.

Thanks. That's way I did say "Maybe Nothing".
