AKAClublandChilledNow App is Launching on Virgin Media Tivo Boxes Tomorrow 12th Jan 2016.

AKAClublandChilledNow 4 Music Channels in 1 App and They are AKA, Clubland, Chilled and Now Music TV You can find it in the games and apps section on Tivo. I saw it Advertised on Virgin Media Catch Up TV ondemand.

If they get or got the £5m then yes, they'll survive a bit longer otherwise not. I don't think it's a viable long-term business model as it stands - so they need to increase sales or reduce costs or do both.

Talking about Viacom or Channel 5.

5USA +1 may soon launch on Freeview.

DS Forum think that Viacom may axe Channel 5 + 24 for 5USA +1 to launch.

If Channel 5 + 24 is set to close Viacom may ask 5* +1 or Spike to launch on Virgin Media.

Why would BT want it? It would just increase BT's costs and give it no extra customers. Far cheaper to wait till it folded and bid against Dave/Channel 5/Sky for boxing matches. And no guarantee that if BT bought it the rights they would stay with Box Nation. Change-of-ownership rights might prevent this.

I think this too can see channel 5+24 closing and being replaced with 5usa+1 also if mumours turn out fruitful channel5 hd is going fta and will go on freeview too.

What I'm curious about is whether Viacom does a major rebrand of Channel 5 and turn it into CBS.

We already have Fox, Universal (NBC), so the only major American network left is ABC without a presence here. (cue ITV...)

Viacom own a lot of channels in the UK but all with different brands. I'm just not sure they'll keep the Ch5 branded channels alongside CBS ones. Something has got to give.

Is Hum Masala still testing on VM? It was due to go onto Sky last year, but had trouble obtaining an EPG slot on their platform and as a result didn't launch on VM.

Their new plan is to try to obtain another Sky EPG slot and launch a hybrid of Hum Masala and Hum Sitaray:

Hum TV Network is planning to launch a new channel in the UK by March, BizAsia can exclusively confirm.

BizAsia understands that the new channel will be a hybrid service consisting of shows from its Hum Masala and Hum Sitaray channels in Pakistan. It is likely the new channel will have a completely different identity to that of Hum Masala and Hum Sitaray. It will bring cookery and lifestyle shows from Hum Masala and entertainment such as fictions from Hum Sitaray. Furthermore, BizAsia has learnt that the new channel will be split in dayparts to match viewers’ habit and lifestyle in the UK.

Hum TV Network is currently scouting for a Sky Digital EPG. Once it has signed a deal with Sky, the channel could be launched in March – ahead of Ramadan. Last year, it was reported that Hum Masala was to launch in the UK but due to EPG delays, the channel was put on the backburner.

Hum TV’s foray in the UK/Europe market has been a huge success with its flagship entertainment channel on top of Pakistan entertainment channel ratings. The channel regularly attracts over 500,000 viewers each week.

Well it's good we have more music channels but problem is we:

1. Can't access a guide for the four channels

2. Can't record any of the content like other music channels

Vevo is very impressive and works very dad no issues there. Instead of edit playlist to view videos have a view videos option.
