Re: Just got the SuperHub 3

I don't have problems with it as a basic user, it does seriously need new firmware for it to be used as router, but in modem mode I guess it is pretty stable from what I hear.

The TBB graph looks terrible when on 16 channels though but I don't think that affects my ping and jitter.

It works fine in modem mode from what I can tell. But it's hard because my area is basically ****ed.

Despite it now being given to all new customers the trialists are still somewhat gagged.

If you dont play on-line with a games console it should be ok

Re: Just got the SuperHub 3

Once they sort the UPnP thing out it should be usable for most users. That's the only issue (I'm aware of, without having access to the trialist known issues) that could potentially stop basic things working for "normal" users.

Hopefully the business hub will be somewhat more complete.

You'd like to think so :D

Anyone else on this delightful piece of hardware have any comments on how they're finding it thusfar? :)

Need to know how desperately I should try and avoid it until the firmware is out of beta.

It's fine, as long as you don't want to use any router features. ;)

Works ok for me in router mode, same as a SH2ac, as I don't need extra features than basic internet connectivity.

I should be checking that out at some point, as I've been invited to the trial. Seems a loooong time coming though.

Once I found out UPnP doesn't work, and port forwarding doesn't work if you have the firewall off... and worked round those, it's working fine for 99% of other things.

PSN doesn't seem to like it though, NAT issues but I suspect that related to the UPnP thing

Indeed. Once the routing functions are sorted, the SH3 will be much better off. Could do with some major GUI optimizations also.

Yup, takes ages to browse to different pages, and I found it never loads most the time on my mobile.

Hi. I've just been updated to 200Mbs with a super hub 2. Thought I was up to date. So what is the super hub three and what is the difference

Re: Just got the SuperHub 3

It will be the hub necessary for 300Mb connections when and if 300Mb is implemented as it can handle 16 downstream channels.

Although customers are being issued with it it still has firmware problems still to be ironed out.

Typical VM, releasing kit before it's fit for purpose and still in trial testing.

Doesn't make sense to send it out to customers when there's a bunch of known issues, imagine the support calls it's going to generate when customers can't play on PSN / XBL properly, their chromecasts don't work and whatever other bugs people come across

exactly, and we said all this 5 years ago when they did it with shub1 but VM seem to live in a different reality where it is cool to increase your call volume to foreign call centres and **** off your customers.

Re: Just got the SuperHub 3

Can't see any logic to it, especially since as far as I can tell it's still "in trial" by the original testers anyway
