I don't think there's much chance of it coming to Virgin in the near future based on the well-publicised tweet from a senior Sky employee. However, BT were bragging about BT Sport being exclusive to them upto the day its availability on VM was announced so I would not read too much into the Sky adverts.

i said 'I think', because there were these strange intimations from VM that the channel was coming, there were no ads about it and suddenly it was there. Even then it was downplayed. So it seemed to me that the deal had already been done and BT were able to milk as much out of the new channel as they could before it was launched on VM. I have no evidence that this was the case, but it's how if seemed at the time. Do you have information to the contrary? It would be interesting to know what was really going on!

Aye I thought that about bt sport myself. They were emailing virgin media customers about "the only way to watch BT sport is with us... You won't get to see it with VM..." And then wham it appears suddenly. It could have been a last gasp contract signing or it could have been part of the agreement that BT could keep trumpeting being "exclusive" right up until EPL kick off

Sky Sports 5 will be available in HD according to this http://recombu.com/digital/news/sky-...rt_M13262.html - cunning move by Sky I have to say as BT customers will miss out on most of the Champions league matches though of course BT will be the home of the champions league from 2015 so what goes around comes around as they say

It's no secret that negotiations were ongoing for months. Both VM and BT repeatedly stated this.

Curiously you said otherwise then. When did the doubts set in?

The contract was signed the evening before the channels launched. I got a call at 22:15 to say "go".

Going back to to new bundles, I would not be surprised if we saw mobile sims with x amount of calls, texts and x amounts of megabytes either added free or even more minutes, texts, megabytes for an addiotional £5 charge. They were highlighted in the e-mail i recieved a couple of weeks ago.

You can add a mobile sim to the the current big bundles with unlimited minutes and texts for £5 with 250mb data or £8 with 1GB.
