How many times is this that you've left Virgin now, Telford?

one more week to go left and goodbye virgin media (but they been phoned me to try to offered me 120/12 for £23.50 a months for 12 months contract with £14 discount loyalty for 2 years on account) for broadband standalone without virgin phone as they say it even better deal than BT FTTC as they say FTTC is below 70 Meg average and you still need to pay for the BT phone line and they kept telling me it still expensive than virgin media and saying BT will never match Virgin Media speed/price/offer deal. Plus they even metion to me you will get free upgrade to 152/12 soon for the same price. Virgin say I must be mad to go for FTTC £22.49 a month plus an addition charge £15.99 a month for line rental and the speed is almost half loss to FTTC compare to Virgin speed.

Sound too good but I told them no thanks because they will put up price twices in a year as for upgrade to 152 Meg for free, that untrue because they say that last time free double speed but still charged us and double speed never happen until I request one and force into 12 months contract. The upgrade to free 152 Meg will be the same again try to force you into a 12 months contract and probably a price increase too.

So, I told Virgin Media, no thanks. Bye bye.

Agree with you - I was not interested before I am less interested now that 4G is here with three. I would get FTTC if it ever came here but if not I can live on what is basically 60/20

Once my FTTC is activated and LIVE, I shall order a 2nd FTTC, so I will try bonding FTTC to get 160/40 possible. 2 x 80/20

Thanks.. if you hadn't have pointed it out no way would me, a 70yr old mathematician know that 160/2 is 80 and 40/2 is 20

You have my thanks, and sarcasm of course!

I rang up VM asking if there would be any speed upgrades in my area (felt bored) and was told by some dippy Scottish woman " no, the speed upgrades are for customers on 60 going to 120 but because you were on 120 already we can't offer you any higher" I said "so the 152mb in the member centre is just a myth then" she said..

"yes - and I will feed it back as it's not correct"

I am now sat here with a world map wondering which country they get the monkeys from who train these people!

Is there any need to call them monkeys? They are actually human beings, just like you.

As i said before. I called Monkeys monkeys- so I am wrong? So a dog is not a dog?

You just assumed I meant the people I didn't!
