Nope. You're still holding on to the idea that one entertainment service can be empirically 'better' than another.

Entertainment is received by people with different tastes in different ways. One thing works for one, one thing works for another.

It doesn't how many ways you try, you simply can't define your own set of criteria as the absolute standard by which 'better' is judged. It works for you; great. That's all you need. Go and enjoy it.

The Advertising Standards Authority upholds Virgins claim that they offer a better "better TV experience" than SKY.

So if you want to watch TV without the threat of the picture freezing, or breaking up, you need to join Virgin. :D It's no good having hundreds of channels if people have trouble watching them in the Winter :D

I lost many more recordings as a Sky customer through poor weather than I ever have as a TiVo customer due to poor EPG data, and the only time I ever found out about it was when I sat down to watch it and it was too late to watch the repeat. Not only does TiVo have a list of when its not going to manage to record something, it actively finds the reruns so I don't have to. By the time I find out about a failure on TiVo its already put it right. That IS a vastly better Tv experience than Sky.

Basically if you lose signal at the slightest shower your dish has been installed incorrectly , since going back to Sky we've had one brief loss of picture which lasted under a minute during a thunderstorm. Try watching OD with VM when the networks down something we had numerous times here. How does TIVO function with no network ? It's a genuine question I don't know the answer.

what if virgin media got more hd channels, sky atlantic, box nation, premier sports, cbs channels, csc music channels and al jezzrera, if it does that is...

We will get more HD channels. When is another matter.
The CSC music channels and MTV classic are not essential because Virgin Media offer music on demand included in the XL pack which has access to thousands and thousands of the latest and greatest music videos, concerts and karaoke there is also plenty HD videos.
Boxnation is launching on Virgin Media in a few weeks.

AL Jazeera is not essential and There is issues with Premier Sports from there Setanta days. I would like CBS Action and CBS Drama.
Virgin Media could get CBS Action HD, CBS Drama HD at the same time as CBS Drama, CBS Action.

Why keep mentioning channels ? VM will review their channel range on a constant basis and look for the best price to acquire them. VM , Sky and BT Vision all have unique selling points , you basically want them all to be the same. In my eyes VM are concentrating on TIVO , OD and their BB packages as unique selling points , Sky concentrate on linear channels and content with an emphasis on HD/3D and BT Vision currently sells itself as a Freeview PVR with catchup and OD functions. I personally think looking ahead are exciting times for customers of all companies as they all seem to be pushing innovation to the max , VM will keep strengthening their BB network and adding functions and services to TIVO pushing Sky to try and better their offering. If the CC can grow some add Netflix and Lovefilm to the connected streaming market and competition will hot up even more.

sky is better than virgin in terms of tv channels (especially hd and 3d channels)
