A single hot summer, freak weather event or very cold winter doesn't prove anything obviously. You cannot link any one thing directly to climate change, it doesn't work like that.

Climate change increases the chances of more extreme weather.

The question is are we seeing 'freak' events more often? It's correct to say you cannot point to any one event as because due to global warming but if you have to do that more and more then maybe something is changing in the climate.

We are growing Shirley tomatoes, picked several pounds so far.

l could not get up Plymouth this morning as there seemed to be a fault so Saltash was second best.:D

Just had a few thundery drops so far but it looks like a whole train of storms coming over the channel from France and heading our way on the met office radar. Looks very dark out to sea. We can certainly do with some rain.
