If this is all correct then a very poor offer in my eyes. I am not bothered about Multiroom due to having Cable and FTA Satellite downstairs. They still want us to pay top price for install and box then? |
Re: Anyone received a offer from Virgin regarding the 500gb box
Just seen a post on the VM help/support forum, someone got the leaflet about the V+ for free and called CS . He was told he was just unlucky he had got his TiVo a week to soon. CS at their compassionate best!

Re: Anyone received a offer from Virgin regarding the 500gb box
Received the letter today too but unsure if Virgin are being cute with their wording. It states about keeping your V+ box free of charge. But are they simply referring to the fact we can keep the box - which as we all know is only rented and has to be returned back to VM should you ever leave - however are they regarding the monthly charge as a different entity?
Or is it a case of you sign up to 500GB Tivo, you get to keep youe V+ box and you can watch TV on it in another room (ie. Multi Room) with no extra monthly cost apart from the extra £3? |

Re: Anyone received a offer from Virgin regarding the 500gb box
My letter came yesterday and doesn't mention the V+ box anywhere on it! It says I am XL customer and qualify for TIVO at £49.95 or £149.95 nothing about keeping box.

Any VM employee care to comment on why people seem to be getting different letters.

Re: Anyone received a offer from Virgin regarding the 500gb box
The back page of mine shows as
"Upgrading to VM TV powered by TIVO doesn't mean losing your V+ HD Box adn all the good stuff inside it forever. We know how much it means to you. So you can keep it and enjoy HD in another room at no extra charge*. That way you can keep your existing recordings and record even more of your favourites. That's a saving of £78 a year". *if you keep your existing set top box/boxes when adding the TIVO service. You will continue to pay the standard monthly fee for all existing additional set top boxes. |

Re: Anyone received a offer from Virgin regarding the 500gb box
My letter 100% doesn't state that anywhere :( So it must be a limited offfer, can't see why not offered to all, my letter even says your one of our best customers, obviously not good enough to offer a free V+ move to though!

Re: Anyone received a offer from Virgin regarding the 500gb box
It's not in the letter. It's on the back page of the leaflet that came with the letter. Perhaps they forgot to stuff leaflets into some of the envelopes.
