I don't give a monkey's, who the footballer is, NO one is worth that money, it is disgusting, and this is what is killing football.

What if, with all this money about, someone suggested, we have this money available, why don't we GIVE it to clubs struggling to survive in the lower div's on the Championship or Coca Cola divisions, what will be the answer - no way, clubs have all this money around help the needy. its sick.

I am a football referee and have matches are played on Sundays, in some of the worst grounds in London, inest the money there, the players have to pay money to play, and the places they go are terrible, and the players are ten times better than premier league or Championship.

I take it the lawyers and negotiators at Newcastle had an off day(week/month/year/decade)

The extent of Newcastle United's disastrous management in recent seasons can be exposed by The Sunday Telegraph with the revelation that the club is still paying their notorious midfielder, Joey Barton, £675,000 per year for his image rights.

He's not exacly a Beckham or Ronaldo. Why on earth would anyone think he should get the average let alone more than the average.

I don't know, the Mirror was saying Villa could be tempted by United. I'd be impressed by him as a ronnie-replacement - he's ossum on FM2009 :D

No talk of the Confederations Cup yet? Yesterday's games were pretty uninteresting. Especially South Africa vs Iraq - a borefest of poor football.

Today's have been the opposite though.

Brazil 4 -3 Egypt
USA 1 - 3 Italy

Highlights are on the BBC Sport site. Matches are live there too, as well as the red button for day games and BBC 3 for evening.

Quite pleased about this deal, loan with an option to buy is pretty shrewd business imo

More rumours about Villa to Man utd today, but i think he'll go to Barca.....i hope he does =( lol.

A few more from today;

Crouch to Wolfsburg?
Eboue to leave?
Sagna to Real Madrid?
Glen Johnson to Liverpool a done deal?
Ribery set for Man utd?

Def some interesting ones. This transfer window is no doubt already the craziest one ever imo.

Till next year :)

Personally don`t rate Ribery that highly, and think the pace of the English game won`t suit him, i may be wrong.

What`s happened to City, who they buying allegedly?

Haven't really heard much about them so far. They didn't do themself any favours though by not getting into Europe.

Bayern - United in for Ribery
Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has claimed Manchester United have joined the race to sign Franck Ribery.
Ribery has been strongly linked with a summer move away from the Bundesliga following an impressive season at Bayern.
Real Madrid have made no secret of their interest in the France international while Chelsea and Barcelona are both believed to be keen.
Ribery is also said to be a target of United, who are poised to seek a replacement for seemingly Real-bound Cristiano Ronaldo.
It should have been 3-4 seasons ago imo
