United have an awesome team right now. It does not take much logic to see that most can assume their success will continue.
Not that awsome, without Ronaldo United wouldn't have won the league

The way Utd fans are going on about it, it would be quite easy to say that a lot are worried that Ronaldo made your season. One man (i.e Beckam)certainly did not make Real - but most would say that his signing had a lot to do with commercial aspirations as well as football - but it seems like a lot of Utd fans are thinking one man leaving (i.e Ronaldo) will be the end of Utds success in the very near future.

You keep on refering to 'alot of United fans' i'm not sure who they are but they don't seem to have the overall opinion of fans that i know. If you had the best player in the world playing for your club ofcourse you wouldn't want him to leave, you would be stupid not to, but when a player thinks he's bigger than the club it's time for him to leave which is the opinion of United fans i know. It's happened in the past when the likes of Beckham and Van Nistelrooy who were seen as star players left United and everyone claimed it was the end of United's dominance but were proven wrong. One player doesn't make a team and Ferguson has proven that time and time again. Ofcourse he would want to keep Ronaldo and so would the fans but saying that 'most United fans' think him leaving will be the end of the success is rubbish and totally untrue.

If you bothered to actually read what I said I didn't say it was true... You know following up a statement with If True usually implies that the person making the original statement is not sure whether its true or not.

Oh by the way I heard something about Utd wanting Santa Cruz to play for them. If true, isnt he under contract to Blackburn? How many years does he have left on his current contract?

Anyway I bored discussing this - especially with Utd fans who can't see the hypocricy of their reactions to Ronaldo wanting to leave. .............

I'm sure you would feel the exact same way if you had the best player in the world playing at your club and they wanted to leave, if not theres something wrong.

You really havent been following this topic on this thread carefully have you. The hypocricy is nothing to do with you not wanting your best player to leave- its everything to do with Utd fans moaning at Real for luring / enticing / unsettling their star man. It's nothing that Man Utd haven't been guilty of in the past with some of their dream signings.

Maybe you need to take of those red tinted glasses you migh be wearing - its certainly affecting your ability to read, maybe even to understand too.

No need to resort to insults just because you're getting nowhere with your point. I don't see any United fans on here making much of a fuss over Real - certainly not me.

I think you'll find it's the United staff who are kicking up the fuss.

You've obviously missed a lot of posts from Shadow Demon UK!

Personally I don't see what all the fuss is about. Ronaldo has won everything at Man United it's not surprising he wants to go somewhere new, particularly in Spain as he's Portuguese. All this talk of loyalty is just nonsense. Is Ferguson loyal to his players when he decides he no longer wants them to play for his club? No of course not, he disregards the fact that they're under contract and gets rid of them.

He's registered his feeling on the matter like any fan would.

So SAF wasn't loyal to Ronnie after the 'winker' incident?

You said you hadn't seen any Man United fans making much of a fuss over Real. He clearly did, so one can only assume you missed those posts.

He was loyal to him then because he still wanted him to play for his club. Once Ferguson doesn't want people to play for his club they're gone regardless of contract. It works both ways.

Isn't that how football works though? Once a manager no longer wants or needs a player he gets them transfered? Or does he keep them on staff, taking up money each week in wages?

Excuse me for stating the flippin' obvious....

The point i was orignally making was before he made his intentions clear that he wanted to leave, in fact he said he was going to stay. Also it wasn't making a fuss over the fact that Real are intrested in Ronaldo, i was just making the point of how Real's pursuit of Ronaldo was different to that of United's in the past, other members escalated that after i made my point.

Yes that's exactly how it works. And once a player no longer wants to play for a club they get transfered and leave. That's also how it works. There's very little loyalty in football anymore, outside of the fans.
