We both like watching foody adventures whether it's Rick Stein, John Torode or the bikers. You get to see a country from its food perspective. Can often be quite illuminating.

Good alternative when there's no factual stuff on that we haven't seen already.

Yes even though we like traditional fayre's we do like a lot of foreign foods as well and its great that there is so much choice out there nowadays.

Yep, bit of a laugh!

Anyhow there's so much crap on the box this evening, as every Saturday, we're going to watch some downloads now.

"The final count down." Good Film. I got a 1080p version but the encoder screwed it up and the audio and video went out of synch part way through. Got a better 720p version now that I have tested on the PC so I think that's the first order.

If there's time we'll pick another film otherwise fill in with pop videos.

Just finished watching the final two episodes of "Follow the Money"

A bit heavy on the artistic licence by usual Scandi drama standards but highly entertaining nontheless.

just watched the latest episode of The Flash (2x18) but despite how much I like The Flash and Arrow, I still prefer Marvel stuff, especially Agents of Shield, because of how much darker and serious it is. I suppose the best way to describe it is like The Dark Knight trilogy; more serious and realistic and not cheesey and goofy like Legends of Tomorrow. I can't wait to see Captain America Civil War next week. I am going to a triple bill at the Odeon and seeing Captain America 1 & 2 first and then Civil War at midnight.

it is excellent. It felt so good to have a proper (and serious) scifi show again. I know Dark Matter is scifi and space but it was a bit too light hearted for me (like LoT).

just watched the season finale of Agents of Shield. I loved the Coulson hologram scene and properly lol'd. I love the series but I think the thing which I like the most is how Daisy has gone from a cute useless geek to a super kick ass babe.

Just had the misfortune of seeing (some of) "gimme gimme gimme" for the first time. Thank God I've managed to avoid it for all these years but God knows how it managed to last for more than one episode let alone more than one series.

On a scale of 1 to abysmal it's at the bottom of the lower quartile.

I have had a look at the Sky planner and it looks like the final is scheduled for 17:30 tomorrow

I love watching him. He manages to make the simplest things look and taste amazing. I am vegetarian and very fussy about where I go to eat because most pubs and normal restaurants tend to have the same limited bland range. I went to Jamie's restaurant in Nottingham for the first time last year and absolutely loved it. I had bruschetta to start like I normally do at any Italian but the addition of small amount of different herbs, vinegars and other seasonings made it taste absolutely phenomenal. The same went for my main course. It isn't about huge amounts of overpowering flavours which dominate the food, it is minute amounts of many different flavours creating a culinary explosion in your mouth.

I have always said that if I won something like £150 million on the euromillions I would pay him to come and cook for me for 1 week and I would give him free reign to wow me and make whatever he wants for breakfast, dinner and tea (in my new mansion of course :) )
