None of my relations support the Old Firm, there's support among them for about 4 different teams in more than one Scottish league. None of them are religious either. And my team has had multiple bad, game changing, decisions go against them this season, ones that impartial watchers regularly said the same. The standard of Scottish refereeing has dropped considerably over at least the last decade, it's evident even in matches for teams that aren't mine. |

Re: The Scottish Football Thread
I was sad to discover that Fort William have been relegated from the Highland League. Yes they've finished bottom for many seasons but it's still a shame that they went down without contesting the pyramid play-offs.

Re: The Scottish Football Thread
Ever since they stopped giving the Highland League results during the Classified Results rundown on the TV, I haven't a scooby who is still in that league.

Re: The Scottish Football Thread
I hope Bonnyrigg Rose will be in League Two as they are name after my late dog who pass way in January.

Just to see what Highland League team will play the winners of Lowland League to try to get into League Two. |

Also, Sportscene Results does not cover the HFL (or the Lowland League) is not covered and the teams are only mentioned when they play in the Scottish Cup. And regarding the make-up of the division, since the introduction of the pyramid, only Cove Rangers have won promotion from the HFL into the SFL and Brechin are the only team to have been relegated into the HFL. Fort William is the first team to be relegated out of the HFL and Banks O'Dee is the first team to be promoted into the HFL. |

I think the only time I regularly saw the teams mentioned regularly was when Scotsport (!) was still around, Sportscene Results didn't really mention it, certainly not recently. |
Re: The Scottish Football Thread
They don't mention the league at all, apart from when the pyramid play-offs are taking place.

Re: The Scottish Football Thread
Bonnyrigg Rose have become the fourth team to win promotion to the SFL after they defeated Cowdenbeath 4-0 on aggregate. Cowdenbeath will replace Bonnyrigg in the Lowland League next season, joining two other former SFL teams - Berwick Rangers and East Stirling - in that division.
